Topsy
*cough* Accidentaly left my nail scissors and tweezers on my washbasin for a while and they left a pretty rust mark on it. Now I can't manage to get all rust off. The washbasin is ceramic. It somehow seems to have soaked the rust up? Has anyone got an idea with what I could try and clean it away? Some kind of old household trick would be cool ^^ Must be something that isn't too aggressive as we already managed to "destroy" the surface of the bath in our old flat with some sort of cleaning stuff.. Thanks
dann2707
Oh I know what you mean about it soaking it. So strange as porcelain is quite hard! Btw do you know little bits of porcelain can be thrown at glass and it like cracks the whole panel instantly all in one throw
isitafox
That'd just be cause the glass has been toughened, like car windscreens and stuff. http://homerepair.about.com/od/interiorhomerepair/ss/remv_rust_stain.htm Edited May 20, 2012 by isitafox
Revolver
Is it glazed? You could try polishing it out. Caustic soda/ mr muscle might shift it but that might make a mess like in your bath.
