Greetings
Not Jardo's car so probably not interesting, f**k it though. Made my day. And for Bucky - E46 front arches on rear:
Pashley26
Looks great, it's nice to see an M3 that isn't a shit color. What's with the sly digs Inur, it's not like you to say things like that?
Greetings
It just seems as though this thread has been completely overrun by you Used to be full of car pics and peoples' problems with them or mods they were carrying out, now it's kind of turned into an MSN type of chat regarding two Clios and an Audi. Just my opinion though, I'm sure it's not just you posting so much in here, it's others who have stopped. Used to have Civics, Foci (plural), Nissans, Mazda's, Evos in here, where's all that gone? dann2707
Id post some stuff but im kind of in fear of being wrong as Jardos "always right" Just messing. Lol
Wrayvon
I can post that I'm having my MOT done on saturday? Not very interesting to read though. PS at least my car isn't french though
Prawny Baby
now it's kind of turned into an MSN type of chat regarding two Clios and an Audi. Just my opinion though, I'm sure it's not just you posting so much in here, it's others who have stopped. Used to have Civics, Foci (plural), Nissans, Mazda's, Evos in here, where's all that gone? Oi! Don't bring me into this please! I think you post in this thread just as much as I do! The thread is near on dead, because everyone who used to post has grown up, moved away from bikes, and are now more interested in cars and the other finer things in life. Nobody bothers coming back onto TF really, until I started on this shift pattern and needed to kill time I was hardly ever on here any more, and even when I do post an update, it's only a Crtl+C Ctrl+V from my build thread on one of the car forums. Sad but true, a car thread was great when we were all young and learning together at the same time, but many of us have been at it a fair while now, so don't need to ask all the questions and discuss ideas, we just kinda get on with it! When we do need advice, we're not going to come to a bike forum full of youngsters, you'll look to the more experienced audience, so any updates on here really, are just for showing off purposes, much like your post above showing an awesome E36 with a lovely weld in cage Good colour too!See, you've posted more in the car thread than I have! Wrayvon
See, you've posted more in the car thread than I have! Since the cut though..... Sorry just thought I'd join in
Pashley26
The reason I post so much is that cars are pretty much my life, I sell them all day long and work on them/drive them/watch them every morning and night. I was up at 6 mapping my Clio, amd was up until 9 last night machine polishing a scrape out fo my wing and then I played Forza for an hour. You may say it is unhealthy and I would agree, but it is pretty much what I work and live for.
Prawny Baby
Since the cut though..... Sorry just thought I'd join in The only reason my current post count is so high is because I feel the need to correct Jardo every time he is wrong. Based on current stats he's wrong roughly 47% of the time!
shamus
Jardo, I think it's fine having that strong an interest, and you do provide a fountain of knowledge (which sometimes need verifying:-P) it's the condescending comments when people are naive/ill informed. Me? I'm still pissed my laquer is sporadically ruined, but didn't get any info on it and have done no research myself lol Edited May 22, 2012 by shamus
Prawny Baby
f**k it, I'll copy over a totally seperate build thread into chit chat later on as per Toms suggestion, and never fill this thread with audi or mini pictures ever again Simples. Skoze
Politics aside - Inur, that looks awesome. I trust you're losing the green wheels though? And what's the engine plans? Remember you were having all manner of trouble with the V8 last i checked. Not really got any car news apart from that it's my Land Rover's 60th birthday on friday, think i'm gonna buy him a balloon. Oh and as of november it'll be MOT exempt. Not quite sure what to take from that... Here's an up to date photo for a little thread variety, can't remember if i ever posted it or not. Just needs the 200tdi fitting now to be roadworthy, which should be end of the month. Got a new canvas too which'll be nice, all green and lovely/ leak free. Bucky
And for Bucky - E46 front arches on rear: Awesome thanks very much looks pretty dam good there i decided after not being able to find much info or being able to afford the wings to just flare the shit out of mine: Thats a 10j et7 on a 215/40/17 nankang NSII
DrDoom
Since the mini threads basically dead - and as said above, this needs variety... Just swapped my wheels for these - 13x7 superlites. With tyres. Guys paying delivery both ends too! They look like shit, but I only want to polish them up and lacquer them anyway! Some dish, and some wide rubber to get vtec power down safely! Greetings
// Post // See, you've posted more in the car thread than I have! Really weird that. Do I really post in here that often? Could be that back in the days when beginning to drift I didn't belong to any car forums and let off steam on TF. All valid points though. Like you I just copy images in here, maybe add some text if needed or occasionally talk to myself. Shame about this thread but it could still be saved, people are just not posting their rides! And I'm by no means suggesting Jardo that you should post less. Others need to post more. Politics aside - Inur, that looks awesome. I trust you're losing the green wheels though? And what's the engine plans? Remember you were having all manner of trouble with the V8 last i checked. Cheers man. Yeah, the wheels were chosen chiefly because they are so crooked they cannot be used for anything other than moving a chassis around the workshop. I've got a set of polished original M3 wheels to put on when it's ready. Engine is a completely stock M3 Evo unit, no mods this time. We're using a custom made diff to make the most of that power. Wanted a V8 originally but we eventually decided it would be way too overpowered for sprint evends. Considering a cheaper less powerful V8 in the estate, just to turn that into a budget drift car. Current engine from that car is being pulled apart, will post findings. It was a complete mess. Love the Land Rover, you did post it in here quite a few times except it was pulled apart, no? And with an LPG tank? Had no idea that was 60 years old. Pics with baloon You could also do it properly like this guy except you'd need a shit load of candles: Won't that still rub? King C
How rude. I took pride in the fact that it hadn't been cut like the other super-threads have but it seems that it has now suffered the same fate. Maybe I should post some pictures of where I am now (well, all the bits that are still mini).
Luke Rainbird
I still want this. Has anyone ever managed to get one set up for reasonable economy (not including LPG) at all dude? If It wouldn't cost a bomb to run then I'd seriously consider one
Skoze
In a word, yes. With the 200tdi it should return about 45-50mpg driven right with the big gears i've got for it Putting the hours aside this will owe me around £2-2.5k in parts/ buying it in the first place when it's done. For a series one that's nothing as i could quite happily sell it for twice that. Series 2's/ 3's are going pretty cheap and a lot of those have already had the 200tdi conversion done! And Inur; sounds awesome dude! What kind of power is that likely to be putting out? Nice wheel choice, should look pretty subtle As for the work done to this, it's had quite a lot put into it! I'll openly admit it looks shit on the outside but it's mint underneath the bodywork. I like it ratty. Was stripped right down to this; new crossmembers to replace the old rotten ones; replacement bulkhead built from scratch; and then coming back together; Still got a Rover 3.5 V8 on carbs in there at the moment, wish i could afford to keep it but it's just not practical EDIT: that video is SO GOOD!!! If it still had enough electrics in to start it i'd make a video like that just for you. Edited May 22, 2012 by Skoze
Luke Rainbird
Ah awesome! Maybe it could be on the cards at some point then. Fancy something big and slow for a bit, that'll handle a little detour from the regular lanes on occasion. May have to look into it... RobinJI
I know my posting in this thread's been pretty dull, for the last year or so and only really replys to people thanks to uni meaning I've had zero money for cars. I've been rolling around in an 80bhp £400 Passat for the last 9 months, so I've not exactly had much to post! However, like Jarrod, my life does pretty much revolve around cars, hell, the degree I just finished is in motorsport, so here's a random selection of photos from my facebook over the last year, all taken by me, or at least with my camera: Co-driving at Christmas: And how that car looked when we dug it out last summer, it hadn't seen daylight in 19 years: My Scirocco when it still worked, looking forward to fixing this again this summer: Fitting the 1.6td last summer, plan was epic MPG for uni, engine died internally after a couple of weeks on the road!: Home made 2.5" downpipe: Wiscombe Hill Climb last Sunday: Some random times in Bristol with friends, the landy's got a lovely V8 in it: Castle Combe: My old College's race car that we ran for 2 years: A friends fugative's engine after I recovered him from the side of the M5: And the beast that came from, we got it going again the next day: Some fun at the beach: I hope that's enough not french FWD content to keep everyone happy! (nothing wrong with french FWD's for having a laugh though!) The only current car news I've got is that I need to replace the drums on my Passat tomorrow. That'll be great fun, haha. I might have some more interesting stuff to post once I'm working though.

It weighs a little over a tonne with a 120bhp turbo diesel and range rover gearing so it's not that slow! Had 110 out of a heavier one of these a friend and i built, and it got there pretty rapidly too haha. Wheelbase of mine is also the same as a mini, just 6 and a half feet tall Loving the work Robin, must admit i have been stalking you a little on RR... When's the mini coming out to play? RobinJI
Loving the work Robin, must admit i have been stalking you a little on RR... When's the mini coming out to play? Haha, cheers. The Mini will be a minimum of a year from now I recon, depending on what sort of income I end up with, and even then a year's pretty optimistic! At the moment it's buried so deep in bike and kayak bits, and pieces of Passat and Scirocco that there's about a foot of one rear quarter viable! Should be able to dig it out pretty soon though, just need to secure some sort of income and sort a workshop, haha.

Duncy H
What do people think of the new mot rules for pre 1960 cars? I really think it is a daft idea. As this is a car pic thread, what i've been working on at, err.... work.
