Joe Sheehan
Someone decided to kindly modify the side of my car, bless them. More 'comedy dent' than 'comedy gold' now. On the plus side, the chap is paying for it all cash, including a hire car while mine is in for paint! All is well that ends well.
Luke Rainbird
I also sat in the seat in my bedroom with the harness on me for way longer than necessary. I hope you flipped onto all fours and ran around like a turtle?Still tempted by a set of those due to how mentally cheap they are. Just the fixed seat/standard seatbelt issue that's putting me off really!
Haz
Still tempted by a set of those due to how mentally cheap they are. Just the fixed seat/standard seatbelt issue that's putting me off really! Works fine for me. Don't think I'll be getting harnesses any time soon. Luke Rainbird
Yeah? Didn't realise you were running them - shall dig out your CS thread and take a look! Standard belts sit on your lap rather than on the sides of the seat ok?
dann2707
He's running the super mega expensive recaro ones? I can't remember how I felt about them using just a standard belt but it did feel amazing!
Haz
Yeah, you can use the normal belt holes in the bottom of the buckets. One side of mine does sit above the side, but it's still tight round my lap.
Luke Rainbird
Gotcha. Did wonder about running them like that. Might take a look/steal a passenger lap at Curby if you do't mind
SamKidney
Where did you buy those from Dan?
Jolfa
The standard Clio seats are f**king horrible aren't they! On the matter of buckets, I have these stashed away at home Spent months looking for a set of them, these came up, despite appearances they are actually brand new but a cat had been using them as a bed for some years
dann2707
God knows what they were thinking when choosing them. The height of them is ridiculous too, you're literally sat on top of the car rather than in it. It really ruins the driving "experience" Sam I got them from a company on eBay mate
Tom Booth
I've found the wheels I want for the Caddy, if they call me back with the centre bore and its a go-we I think I'll order them!
isitafox
You guys and your huge wallets depresses me, my modding has gone as far as fitting my old headunit. Next step is to fix the broken door locks then rectify the drivers door speaker not working.
Tom Booth
Best HU ever, I had the iPod version of that in my Mini and it blew my mind
dann2707
Is that the one where you could go from Orange to Blue?
isitafox
Most complicated headunit ever, it's got built in 3 way x-overs so you can specifically dial in each individual speaker plus run some more amped up and subs. No f**king idea how to set a decent equalizer but the quality is amazing. Does have an ipod cable on the back as well.
dann2707
Tomorrow is d-day for the seats arghhh Haven't been this excited to fit a car part on my car yet.
Haz
Good news - my cage is going in tomorrow. Bad news - Three of my four second hand OZ Superturismo wheels are buckled, so what was going to be a cheap set of track wheels is now a £600 set of track wheels, after they've been straightened and refurbed. Could have bought OZ Ultraleggras new for a tiny bit more.
AdamR28
That's a bummer I won't tell you what I paid for my set of Superturismos... I'm guessing there's no way you can return them? I would be happy to sell mine on, I have too many wheels!
Haz
Nah, being fixed now, can't be arsed with the hassle. And I don't think I could sell them after I've nitromors the shit out of them I spoke to the guy I bought them from and he showed me enough proof that he had been using them til recently, guess he didn't realise either! dann2707
I think Jolfa is broken or he has found himself whilst travelling mannnnnnnnnn, he's liked 2 of my posts within 2 days. Okay so today has been one of the best days so far in a year with regards to mods! I removed the seats last night to ease things today and we got started at 10am. Started by fitting the subframes to the seat, I did something very stupidly and got my ratchet spanner caught in the subframe - thought it was quite funny IMAG0550 by dann2707, on Flickr Then Dave adjusted the seat runners so that they fitted in the subframes perfectly IMAG0551 by dann2707, on Flickr Car is on stilts! IMAG0552 by dann2707, on Flickr We then offered the seat in place starting with the passenger side IMAG0553 by dann2707, on Flickr IMAG0554 by dann2707, on Flickr We then started to remove all the seatbelts as obviously they aren't required #racecar IMAG0555 by dann2707, on Flickr IMAG0556 by dann2707, on Flickr My very good friend matty also came over, he has a civic type R ep3 with quite a few mods on it and always loves doing car stuff with me so that was awesome that he came over. He doesn't read this forum but cheers dude! He's also really muscly and pouts his bum awesomely IMAG0557 by dann2707, on Flickr even more so when I tell him i'm taking a pic of him IMAG0562 by dann2707, on Flickr We then stopped for a bit to have some burgers and onions IMAG0564 by dann2707, on Flickr but matty had some pasta and turkey sausage because gym gainz IMAG0565 by dann2707, on Flickr Screenshot_2015-07-18-20-21-35 by dann2707, on Flickr Dave is about to get under the car to tighten the subframes IMAG0568 by dann2707, on Flickr We then fitted the spreader plates underneath the car to allow the eyebolts to stick out to hold the side harness IMAG0571 by dann2707, on Flickr IMAG0572 by dann2707, on Flickr And then... AdamR28
I LOLd at the last photos. We need x ray photos to see any difference there Seats look decent though, should be looaaddsss better. Did you manage to keep standard belts in? Got any plans for getting the shoulder straps to a sensible angle?
dann2707
Drivers side is wonky. Must adjust with spacers Felt like such a boss driving around without a normal seatbelt. Removed all the original belts, but it's so easy to slacken the harness for junctions, just pull up on the yellow tabs and you're away! Not sure about the angles mate, everyone seems to have it like that insinuating that it's not detrimental to my ... life? haha

It's just that I can see differences in your spot the difference photos, you're finally doing something other than wash the sodding thing, or swapping parts for parts that look identical to the old parts :')
