MadManMike
Yeah it's brand new, never fitted. Gonna buy it anyway, worst case scenario I can sell it for more than I paid EDIT: Is there an easy way of checking the size, without taking off my current one? Would rather not mess about with that and find out it doesn't fit... Edited June 24, 2015 by MadManMike

AdamR28
EDIT: Is there an easy way of checking the size, without taking off my current one? Is yours a pre 1994 Eunos? I have a manifold sat next door, can get measurements off that if you need...
MadManMike
Yep mine is a '92 Eunos. Mine is the 370mm cat version, seller isn't sure what theirs is (Selling for a friend who has left the country, so details are minimal other than "Suits early MX5 Eunos 1600")

AdamR28
The later (1994 onwards) were the 440mm cats so sounds like it should fit yours....
MadManMike
Seller contacted the owner, it's 370mm. GAME ON! Going down to Hastings to collect on Saturday

I'll just bring the kit over and do it whilst you're doing the geo makes sense! Would wheels affect corner weighting? Wanting it set up for the road on my 15s but on the track days I'll be using my 16s as the tyres I don't care about.

Going down to Hastings to collect on Saturday Sounds ideal, but surely driving to Hastings to collect is going to be far more effort/money than just getting it couriered? Nah, those wheels will be fine, unless one of your tyres is really worn or something.

I'm going to Ace Cafe for a meet on Saturday anyway and I can coincide my visit with seeing friends and family I wouldn't drive all that way just for the manifold, it'll be £70 in fuel probably.

JDâ„¢
So, who was it who had an arch roller?
Mark W
What the f**k is that monstrosity behind it?! I'm friends with Ben on FB so I get to see it pretty often so I'm kind of used to it now - it's not necessarily my kinda thing, although in fairness to him he's spent a lot of time and money making it how he wants it to be. I don't like his taste in wheels, but aside from that it's not too bad.

JDâ„¢
Good job I needed some arch work already... Scrapescrapescrape. I think they'll look good though once it's all level and I've got the cash to get the bodywork sorted. Obviously the plan was always to get the bodywork sorted first, but then I needed tyres so there was no point in waiting...
MadManMike
Just looked up that manifold, it's £289 on mx5parts and the gasket is around £20 too. Getting it brand new for £50 is insanely good
Jolfa
Related to bargain MX5 parts, a friend picked up a ready made brand new all inclusive turbo kit for his MX5 which is apparently the "monster racecar" kit (or similar, as named by the company supplying them, I have few details on this, you MX5 types will probably know more than me) including brand new GT3071r worth some thousands, and only paid about a grand for the lot. Now bargain point aside, who the hell is selling a GT3071's with a view to them ending up on MX5s?! And who is buying them?! He is swapping the turbo with another friend for his 180sx item and some cash.
AdamR28
I know nothing about turbo conversions (and don't desire to learn), but 'monster racecar' makes it sound like a piece of shit.
Mark W
I imagine having seen that phrase Jardo's already getting some vinyl cut stickers made for his 'racecar'
