Pulse width modulation circuit (PWM), allows infinitely variable motor speed. Getting a fan resistor for my car is silly money and these are £14 so it seemed silly not to install one as it wasn't much extra work. Unfortunately my previous one wasn't man enough and kept cutting in and out as it overheated so I went for a higher amperage one

Well, logs pending I think I've finally removed the last of that bloody box, though it may have involved a bit of rewiring at the ECU so if I have screwed it up I'm in trouble

However, got a little keen tightening up my wipers and sheared the shaft they sit on. Bollocks. Hoping that I can repair it but may need to replace the lot.

About as car related as I will be this weekend.

Sorting out Ferodo pads and EBC discs. trying to get them at abit of a discount as £704.44 delivered is making me wince. I know what I want, just looking for best price. So far that is demontweeks.

I have also just installed brand new jacking and towing eye covers. Yay, car now has all it's trim.

Next will be full exhaust setup and TIP then straight to stage 2 where it will stay for quite some time.

Also

Luke, fair play for the persistence with this power issue. Wish I had the time to tinker as much as you have, I bet you have learnt a shit load. I would be getting to the point of using a specialist soon too. Kinda jealous you are progressing so much quicker than me :(

Jardo, I actually quite like the job you have done on the sun roof, definite function over fashion statement. Like it. I personally would have tried slotting it under the roof skin and blending it in. but if you wanted it looking rough and ready. Good job. Also loving the Corbeau seats! £300 for a pair is a proper bargin! Are they FIA approved?

Did a few jobs to Boris today. Removed the stiff shift kit to replace some parts as i'm getting some f**king AWFUL gearstick wobble when in gear left and right. Guy sent me a load of spare parts from Hungary for free the lad but hasn't even fixed the issue :( Thinking it's something more severe ie gearbox related gay gayy gayyyyyyyyyyyy!!

Changed the gearbox oil to some gorgeous lovely ELF shizzle.

Lowered it more at the rear.

Noticed the wheel was wobbling on the nearside up front, rocking the wheel 12.30, 3:45 etc wobbled so tightened it up using torque wrench to the correct setting but still, why would it come loose? Why?

Then cleaned it and took three photos from the same place just at difference angles for TF's pleasure xx

Tomorrow i'm tempted to fill her up and go enjoy some gorgeous roads by myself if the weather is decent.

Then you and Dann would be considerably out of pocket. Car is entirely sorted and absolutely spot on motherf**kers :D

Finally managed to chase the last wire back to the ECU, pulled it all out and de/rewired it and it's now perfect! Back to improvements again...

That price is a proper sting on the brakes, Ash. Rather you than me that's for sure!

Plans sound good though. I need to chuck on a FMIC and exhaust then it's time for me to go to St2 too. Quite nice to be able to focus on getting mine back to either the standard Seat built it or above - satisfaction factor is high and have learned more in the past few months than the years before that. Getting hands on really is the way.

Could you stick together a before/after please? :P

Looks tidy mate, nice one!

Golf progress makes me happy, good man. When's the plate getting bonded/riveted in permanently dude?

I don't know if you've had the same as me.

But all of my Golf fans have squeaked unless they've been on 3.

I like it.

Yeah, more of a rhythmic feeble whine haha.

I'm en route to Brisbane via Sydney from Perth, had to stop 1000km shy of Sydney because the wobbly car turned out not to be bad balancing or a buckled wheel but the rear tyres worn down to the wire in 6" non-uniform patterns, never had anything like it before? It is apparently caused by bad balancing, knackered shocks, overweight or tyres just being shit and old... Or in our case all of the above!

Just 6-12" patches of absolutely f**ked with tread either side :S Apparently called cupping or scalloping.

I think Jolfa must be having a good week, he liked my content without any sarcastic reply :o haha

I'm on that train Jardo but got a guy coming around at 2.30 to have a test of my coilovers to see if he wants them, might be too late to go out then as the place I want to go is 2 hours away :(

I had no idea I'd liked that, must have pressed it on my phone accidentally while scrolling, I take it back, your car bores me to tears.

Your sex life is a considerably more interesting read
