Mark W
I know what you're all thinking - "How much did Mark end up paying for his tyres?" Well, after pointing out how much they were on eBay, £45 for the two up front which is pretty good considering they're pretty much brand new. You can all relax now. Skoze
Finally, i've been on the edge of my seat mashing F5 for f**king days.
Azarathal
Sprayed a f**k load of carb cleaner into my throttle body today, not a proper clean but it no longer sticks open a after what (used to make a horrible wooshy sound and make the throttle jerky) and it pulls / revs a bit nicer too. It doesn't feel sticky anymore either. Gunna order a couple of gaskets and take it off for a more thorough clean.
Mark W
Does anyone here have any experience with Redex Petrol Treatment?
CurtisRider
Forte is better than Redex I found, especially in diesels
Mark W
The reason I ask is that it's improved my MPG by seemingly quite a large amount, and I just wanted to see if anyone else had similar experiences or whether it could be something else that's somehow changed... Skoze
I use it in the Capri religiously, definitely upped MPG for me too - you're not alone! Bit of V-Power and some Redex, absolutely loved it.
Pete.M
Oops. I've agreed to get involved in another "lets fix a rusty old Ford in just a few months and take it to the nurburgring" project. I'll probably regret this.

The recent reasonably significant increase in temperature would help, especially if doing a few short trips, but I guess you're still on motorway mileage? Mark W
To Matt: Ah, cool - usually the drive from my place to Inspired would cane through probably around 1/3 of a tank or so. I filled up when I was at Inspired then drove back down and used way less (a bit under 1/4 of a tank). It was a pleasant surprise considering it was pretty cheap, and with it using so little of it per tank too. I just didn't really believe such a small amount in comparison to the amount of fuel it's treating could make that much of a difference. To Ads: Yeah, it was just motorway mileage on the way back down. I've done some shorter trips down here and it's still been pretty reasonable too. Tom Booth
I want to have a badge panel like the turbo, but they are like hens teeth/sell very quickly. Does anybody know of a similar sized vent that I could use that is cheaply available from another car/from something else? Dashboard vents from a mk4 escort

Azarathal
So bought a sony CCD reversing camera (same resolution as my double din) but it's confusing as f**k. It obviously has a dc jack to +/- to wire into the revering loom but the phono cable also has a live running through it which is making me think what the f**k. Any ideas? No instructions to work it out but to be honest the rest is self explanatory.

Azarathal
Crisis over, I'll tap that extra feed into the reverse loom to use it as a signal wire to the reverse switch feed on the HU.

Muel
Watching the Gramps build for about the 4th time at the moment, it's so awesome. Pashley26
Yesterday I was bragging that my Mazda 6 tourer was the best car in the work car park. (Yes I've got another new car from work) This morning my car park attendant upstaged me... Edited March 27, 2015 by Pashley26

Pashley26
Very much so. It's a Sport Evolution - http://www.pistonheads.com/features/ph-features-heroes/ph-heroes-bmw-e30-m3-sport-evolution/19345 Very rare, and very different to a normal M3. Pashley26
He let me have a go in it the other day, it feels like a Caterham to steer, but revs and drives kind of like a Type R. You'd never think it was almost 30 years old if you drove it, it rides better and handles better than a new M3.
