CurtisRider
Finally got round to fixing my CAD files and I have printed out one half of my boot pin seal mould...it fits the original seal so I have done at least one part right  The second half is currently printing and should be ready when I wake up tomorrow :hope: I'll wax them up (as a release agent) and use some cheap silicone as a test to see if it's all good. There are 3D printable rubbers available (not cheap) that I may have a play with if this is successful.

Pashley26
I'm so knackered, got some work done on the Golf though. The DP gasket is off, I'll have to go and get a new gasket for it tomorrow. I refinished some horrible bits in plastidip. Grille is fitted properly now with the badge. The tints are gone off the lights. I removed the sun strip. Needs wheels SO badly now.
Danny
Looking better. You gonna sort the bonnet?
Pashley26
Thing with the bonnet is that the paint is super faded underneath I think. f**k it, I'm going out to peel it off now
Pashley26
Bad idea, wish I hadn't done that. Pics in a second. f**k.

Pashley26
Yeah, so that's f**ked. It's a different colour, it's faded and generally I shouldn't have touched the wrap.
MadManMike
You'll get used to it mate, my car has a different shade of red on each panel.
Pashley26
You'll get used to it mate, my car has a different shade of red on each panel. But if you dug deep you could fix that. This is actually a different colour haha. I'll just wrap it again, boom there's a waste of £30. Cheers Danny...
CurtisRider
It was a wiggly looking wrap job anyway so it's for the best

Nah seriously, it's had a few spray touch ups here and there and the colours are very different - it's not just paint fade, though you can throw that into the mix as well. It needs a re-spray really, I'd like to get the arches welded and a full spray, but that's more than the value of the car.
Tom Booth
Jardo, in your line of work that's a £60-80 fix. Don't wrap it

dann2707
I got my car tracked and corner weighted today. Do these figures look right? I was the first car they have ever done and got it for free because of this but not sure if it's right. MartMini
Looks fine, which part are you questioning? Edit : You'll properly find the drivers side is heavier due to engine/ fuel tank placement Edited February 22, 2015 by MartMini

AdamR28
Its not miles out Dan, the theory is very simple though, anyone willing to spend £750 on a set of scales (those are the same ones I nearly bought) should learn how to use them (a few minutes on Google). There are quite a lot of procedures you need to follow to get a good result too. Needs more weight on rear left and front right ideally, not sure how feasible it is in practice with a rear beam though. Which model is your car exactly? How much did you weigh in at? How did the geo go?
