N.Wood
Yeah not sure why they dont come with 2 pins and a metal locking bar you can put across to brace the legs should the rams fail.

MadManMike
20 minutes to get my frozen lock to open this morning, then another 20 minutes getting the door to stay closed... the mech actually froze open after I managed to get the lock undone! I've filled the whole lock with WD40, so hopefully it won't freeze again. Fun!
JD™
Reminds me of the winter before last – the 5 series used to do the same thing, so I'd drive to work with one arm holding the door closed for a couple of miles until it would shut. Obviously all on completely closed roads. Could never get it fixed properly. Makes my geographically ignorant mind wonder what the climate is like in Estonia for the new owner, although that'd be the least of anyones worries. MadManMike
Now you've washed all the oil out of it, go oil it again The lock needs replacing anyway, so I'm not too worried I doubt there was any oil left in there to be honest, it did look dry as a bone! CurtisRider
I haven't seen him post in here for a while though has anyone else Totes confused. My drive on ramps are good, not sure about the scissor style ones, they look like they would be handy but as others have mentioned, I'd be sceptical about safety. Also think about storage, they are quite large!

The first set has a locking pins look between the 2 rams.

MartMini
This is always worth a look if anyones interested: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10155073239400285.1073741853.441656335284&type=3 Full bespoke direct fuel injection for A-Series engines. Pashley26
Seems a bit odd to me. Mini's with power are scary, they don't handle "well" and they just don't seem all that great. What they feel like is unsafe. Unless you change the engine, space frame it, widen the track and go mental making it an all out competition car. In which case very few run an A-Series. Why would you spend a fortune on that for a road car? That's a rhytorical question, I know why you would...because it is cool. But I would argue a decent stage 2 mini with comedy suspension is a better car than some crazy build Mini which is built to the standard that you would want direct injection. I'm only gauging this on my experience of driving Prawns Mini and driving a stage 2 1275. But aren't Mini's best when they're kept how they would have been at the time? Just my thoughts, no need to take any notice or offence to them.
MartMini
i do kinda know where your coming from, even if you say it in an arse about face kinda way Put a non-a series engine in it, space frame it ect and its not really a mini anymore? Even if i had the money, i wouldnt fit direct injection to my car, and i think the guys at special components realise that the performance benefits are minor for the price that it costs. For them it seems to be about having the rights to say that they were the first people to do it, and the engineering work behind it really is phenomenal. Skoze
Bollocks, there is so much to be said for putting completely unsuitable engines in cars way too small for them
dann2707
Today I changed anti roll bar bushes to powerflex black, fitted camber bolts to the front and changed my front nearside speed/abs sensor. Got a hurricane of before and after pics for you all.
