Pashley26
But what about your MOT? And seriously, what was the joke part of what Martmini said? I literally haven't got a clue what he's on about but you seem to.
dann2707
Heaven forbid I have to spend 10 minutes of my life having to change them over for one day out of 365. Stop being bitter because no one likes your ugly as shit new car that you embarrassingly tried so hard to justify prancing about in.
Pashley26
I'm not bitter, the f**k are you going on about? You posted a picture that you're removing your headlight washers, as is the way of Trials Forum I'm now going to continually annoy you about something ridiculous because that's the way it works. And seriously, what was a joke about what Martmini said?
forteh
Why is removing the headlight washers an mot failure? If they're there then they should work, if they're not there then they aren't required to work surely? That's like saying taking completely removing indicatiors off is an mot failure yet I've been through countless mots without them
MadManMike
Can you two take this BS to private message please?
Pashley26
Xenons need to have washers. It's da law. Can you two take this BS to private message please? No. What part of what Martmini said could be construed as a joke. It looks to me like he said something really really stupid, comparing me making a suspension tweak to my car to aid it's performance was comparable to Dan lowering the front only of his car which worsened it's performance. But Dan say's there's a joke in there somewhere, but I can't see the joke in what he said. What I see, is that Trials-Forum is having a serious case of PMS at the moment, and EVERYBODY is moaning. So no, I don't think I should ask Dan and Martmini what they're going on about in a PM.
MartMini
That's what i never understood about the laws on Xenons. Self leveling i can understand, without it you could blind people. But washers? Surely if your headlights are dirty, squirting them with water and not wiping them is not going to make a blind bit of difference. Thats like washing your winscreen without wiping it? Pashley26
If there is dirt on the lenses it will distort the beam and cause dazzling. Which would make the fitment of levellers pointless, because the light would still be going all over the place. But as almost all Clio 1*2's have cracked and crazed lights anyway it won't make much difference. But it's still a legal requirement. forteh
Xenons need to have washers. It's da law. How do they differ to a.n.other headlight? MartMini
I get the distorting light issue, i was questioning the effectiveness of cleaning it just by squirting water at it. And i know i'm not usually the one to get involved in your rants, but you know by far your the worst moaner in here?

Pashley26
And yeah, squirting water does about as much to clean your lights as the wind does as you drive it. Very little.

Danny
The roads are sliiiiiiippppery at the moment.I noticed this yesterday. Even when dry they seem very greasy at the moment.Nah, doesn't sound stupid at all Sam! Just tidies the front end up. I didn't understand it at first as I thought it was for poverty spec models that didn't have washer jets but in all honesty I think it looks a lot nicer. Personal preference thoughCan you get popup washers? Mine look exactly like those blanks.Like this:
SamKidney
"Correct at time of test" If the washers have been removed and there's no item there to fail them on its a pass. They don't even work half the time anyway, and many cars don't even have them I'd imagine a huge majority of testers wouldn't even check their functionality anyway, or take notice that they're there. Most cars don't have them because most cars still have halogen bulbs so don't legally require them. It will still fail an MOT if they aren't there. Some testers might not notice though... MadManMike
I knew it was someone with a white car in their avatar and I thought it was Robin, but I didn't want to ask the wrong person Yes I think you're right.

dann2707
I think we can confirm it was curtis rider ! I've said it before but I get so confused over you too with the same colour avatar haha I've just bought these to cheer me up They're these Bilstein B14's The colour scheme of the yellow and blue makes them look so tacky and cheap though. I've also just received my small polishing pads from China. These came in less than 2 weeks and was only £13 for all of them delivered. I used these before and achieved excellent results with them correcting my Ford Focus and Metro's paint before so for the price I'm well happy. 20141128_123217 by dann2707, on Flickr Link for anyone who is interested: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161300420011?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I know they won't be but just incase Edited November 28, 2014 by dann2707
craigjames
You say this Dan but I've been looking at a 4" pads. Does the backing plate have a normal thread for a DA polisher? Edit seems to have some odd M14 thread rather than a 5/16" Edited November 28, 2014 by craigjames
