CurtisRider
Yup moves perfectly, already swapped it with a spare just to be sure. No vac leaks detected, most boots and hoses are new/been swapped with good spares with no difference made

Lift pump packed up and making the main pump work harder? Bugging me a bit, there's nothing to go wrong with K-Jet What now Mr try to trip you up over every little thing? They look exactly the same...
CurtisRider
Fuel pump is a few months old and gets to the correct pressure on the gauge, in tank pump is working too. Bugging you? It's more annoying for me... currently emailing companies to have the warm up regulator rebuilt, seems that fudges everything up if it's not right. Cheers for your help so far though, more useful than people in the owners club...
craigjames
That's what I thought, couldn't see any difference between the two pics.

If you think those lights look the same you either need to get booked in for an eye appointment or you're just being a contrarian
AdamR28
I nearly commented too, haha, but can see a difference between the bulbs. However, how often do you get out of your car with the headlights on and look at it?
CurtisRider
In all fairness to dan, non matching HIDs are actually noticeable when driving and its off putting.
dann2707
Well this is the thing, I don't actually drive it I just polish it haha Yeah the pic doesn't do the comparison justice whatso ever it was really accentuated in person. Just wanted to show that they weren't *exactly* the same

I'll guess it eventually
craigjames
Talking of pointless posts of people polishing cars to within an inch of their death.... its been pretty quiet on the jardo front That's because since he took it onto the track it's become a race car and no longer needs to be shiny. Think he's bored of it to?...
CurtisRider
Exhaust manifold gaskets have been done, intake manifold hasn't been touched but there is no change in RPM when spraying carb cleaner around any joints in the intake system. Mixture was checked not long after I did the swap and was spot on apparently

Azarathal
After market HID's should be banned They are? Unless available as an added extra when ordering the car I think it's illegal. Even if it was an optional extra you need to retrofit the auto balance and washers etc
MartMini
from department of transport: In the Department for Transport's (DfT) view it is not legal to sell or use after market HID lighting kits, for converting conventional Halogen headlamps to HID Xenon. If a customer wants to convert his vehicle to Xenon HID he must purchase completely new Xenon HID headlamps. The reason for this is that the existing lens and reflector are designed around a Halo gen filament bulb, working to very precise tolerances. If one places a HID "burner" (bulb) in the headlamp, the beam pattern will not be correct, there will be glare in some places and not enough light in other places within the beam pattern. Danny
Good job my car came with factory fitted xenons then (I knew you didn't know, its cool)I wasnt really referring to your car just in general. But 2 bulbs for £11? Bulbs for mine are £60+ each.

I think mine are more each from Renault but these have really good reviews and people using them for over a few years with no issues on the clio forum which is ideal! Pashley26
And Jardo has a new daily. This is the car I drove at the launch day, which was at the Thruxton off road course in the most horrific conditions known to man. As soon as Fiat gave me the keys to the car below I knew that was exactly what I wanted (apart form the tinted windows). So f**king in love with it. I've wanted one since they were launched, but I specifically wanted a 1.3 MultiJet 2 diesel in CanCan red with the winter pack and a full size spare wheel. Factory ordered one from Amalfi in July and it landed yesterday. I cannot put into words how incredible these are off road. Work told me I was taking the piss ordering such a stupid car for myself. I told them to STFU and that I'd already ordered it. Edited November 25, 2014 by Pashley26

Pashley26
Do they have a diff lock? (Genuine question) Absolutely. Cross's come with three electrically operated mechanical diff's (centre front and rear obvs), independent braking on all four wheels which is controlled by the ECM for the traction control and ABS sensors, hill decent control and electronic adjustable damping. Go to 2 mins. Edited November 25, 2014 by Pashley26
