Pashley26
The one I sold you? Was good that one wasn't it? Properly snapped in, and had no flex in it. I was impressed.
Luke Rainbird
Probably fake then?

Luke Rainbird
The manufacturers were pretty anal?
Pashley26
Not sure how to take that, all I see is anal.

Prawny Baby
Jardo's snap off boss was an ebay job, about £35, mine came from Apex and is branded K-sport and cost £60, but if I'm honest, I really do believe these are the same product having looked at both. The one jardo had at christmas time was very high quality indeed. very happy with mine too, positive lock on it, and no play at all.
dann2707
Are snap off bosses purely for security reasons?
george_seamons
I bought Jardo's off him Nick. Read the thread Dan! They are normally used when cages are installed, making access difficult, with the wheel off ita a bit easier to get in. I had to have one because I had "X" bars on my doors, and with the steering wheel there, it was literally impossible to get into the seat! dann2707
I've read it! Well, the last page properly and it doesn't say why haha! I understand nowwwww, cheers!
CurtisRider
Just welded an exhaust with flux cored mig wire.... That shits horrific! It does the job but it's mega messy stuff.
Prawny Baby
main reason for my snap off wheel was the new seats. With conventional seats getting in and out wasn't a problem, but with the big seats with head restraint it's damn near impossible!
Greetings
You'll all be pleased that this is the last pic from the lengthy photo shoot. That's it, no more spamming! Also found these wheels in the garage, must say they look rather nice from a distance. Got proper tyres in the mail today too. After the first ride I think I need to decrease the front camber by about 2 degrees, the car doesn't stop too well. Reduced the damping from maximum (no idea why it was at this setting) to the middle. Should also improve matters.

CurtisRider
Awesome as always! Prefer the other wheels though! Are a set of BMW 15" steels and 15" alloys worth anything these days? Just noticed some in the shed, alloys have 4 meaty tyres, steels have 4 tyres close to the legal limit. Not sure if people would want them to use up for drifting or something

Pete.M
Are slicks road legal in Poland? That would be awesome.
Prawny Baby
Alex, don't you dare stop! Your M3 pics are about the only reason I come back to this thread, and to bore you all with crap about my front wheel drive hatch back

RobinJI
If you've still got a set when I whip mine off for a refurb (when I've finished these tyres off...) I'd be intrigued... If I'm right in thinking that Pauls are off an E36, and you're wanting them for an E38 then the offsets are really quite different, I think you'd have brake/shock clearance issues, and the wheels would sit stupidly far in the arch. Also, yeah, please don't stop the M3 pictures, lovely car. I quite like those new wheels, very motorsport looking, ideal track wheels. Interesting to know about those bosses, I'll keep that in mind as I think my Mini will be impossible to get in/out of without one. I'll be getting a cheap one off a mate soon with a wheel, so if that's cheep toss at least I know where to look next. Nick, do you want me to bring some dollies/a hammer down at the end of the month? Could probably get that rear quarter looking a lot more respectable quite quickly if there's reasonable access from the rear. I've got worse out of a mini over the last few weeks. (Hit hard enough it'd bent the cage and moved the A-pillar in 20mm, even with the cage braced across the feet!)

Pashley26
You do that, I'll bring my volcano grey spray can, and my grey scratch removing polish and we'll have it looking like this by the end of the weekend - Eurgh, can you remember how awesome that car was before you ruined it?
