Pashley26
1.9tdi, agr code, 5 speed i wish and MARTIN you f**ktard! That's an 02J, boxes are available for £150. Easy to swap, keep the same linkage and everything for ease. But if you want to you could fit a facelift linkage to tighten it up a bit. Ratios the same, ect?
Pashley26
They do vary in ratio but not in strength or fitment, the gearbox will have a code stamped on it which will point you to the right replacement. 02J is fitted to all sorts, absolutely everything that shares the front end. Pashley26
Well it looks quite largely to me like he just gave it full left hand lock and the natural traction of the tires did the rest.
JDâ„¢
Well it looks quite largely to me like he just gave it full left hand lock and the natural traction of the tires did the rest. It doesn't even slightly look like that. You can see the steering angle changing during the corner, let alone the shit ton of correction that went into saving the 'overcorrection' on landing.
AdamR28
Scary one, that's for sure. Would say 80% skill and a bit of luck thrown in. I had a very very similar moment at Anglesey last week and just by letting go of the wheel and applying the brakes the car pulled itself straight. I was heading for wet grass and a marshals post just shy of 100mph at one point though!
Pashley26
I spend probably 95% of my time on the internet getting f**ked off by reading the idiotic opinions of people who just seem to excel at making life really f**king hard for themselves. It isn't because they aren't allowed opinions and that their voicing of them annoys me, it is that their own opinions are incorrectly formed on incorrect knowledge and second hand opinions that have been shared by other people who also didn't have a clue. Today however, I saw three things which I whole heatedly agree with and simply have to share. Part one. Part two. And last but not least. www.kentonline.co.uk/tonbridge/news/brands-hatch-gatecrasher-admits-invading-25038/

HippY
quick question: I am the edge of buying a car, and so far it seems it is around a Ford Focus 1.6/ Golf/Leon 1.4/1.6 petrol or 1.9 TDI (90/110) I like the idea of every car, as they are cheap to insura (£50/m) has parts, not exotic, looks cool, but I am not sure about diesel engines I will use it for a 30 mile commute daily basis (on highway) mainly and shorter ones on the weekend So far I am not fan of the diesel engines as they have bad noise, I hate the smoke and I like the petrol characteristic, I learned on a diesel car. Should I consider the diesel cars anyway, is there any reason for that, or just stay with petrol?
dann2707
Personally for 15 miles each way i'd get a petrol Hippy! In injector cleaning news I just got this email from someone who's injectors I cleaned last week for them :D Love reading comments like that. Currently driving (well its in the garage atm, but thats a different story ) 1.9TDI 90 golf, and its lively enough to have fun in, however i'd check the insurance if i was you. The bloke i brought it off was paying £250 a month for it, they're group 17 or something.
