I had half a year on a module called vehicle handling performance and prediction I'd say that'd give me a little bit more insight as opposed to a degree in knitting. JDâ„¢
LOL @DANN2707 I apologise for this, but I'm going to have to actual talk about cars for a mo, sorry if that gets in the way of using TF as an MSN replacement. Anyone familiar with getting a chunk of welding done? I need to get all 4 arches and both sills done on the Clubsport before January. I know it's a case of 'how long is a piece of string?' but a bit of an idea of how much I might expect to pay would be useful

MadManMike
How about everyone stops bitching and instead answers my question on shit subwoofers that I'm looking at as an alternative to me actually doing some work because I'm a lazy shit. JDâ„¢
This... Inb4noitsnot as you well knew it would, lead to this: Inb4icouldntgiveaf**kabouthowmyexhaustlooksyoishouldhearthef**kingthingitsmoreoffensivethanaids which leads to yet another non car related post (irony noted)... Alright then ... By that point it's three in a row. Then there's a few others, people trying to get back on track. Then there's another from guess who... I've got a degree in automotive engineering. #jardopost ...and another... Go on In the mean time I try to suggest how that could have been done in a total of two posts. "Do you know how you got into the oversteer?" "Yes." I think it's mainly the "LMAO", "Haha" and f**king hashtags that do it most for me though. Plus I've had no coffee yet. How about everyone stops bitching and instead answers my question on shit subwoofers that I'm looking at as an alternative to me actually doing some work because I'm a lazy shit. dann2707
If we all posted what you think we should post the forum would be a very dull place Jason.
Tom Booth
It's not even post to stick to what we think will keep everyone happy. Everyone's just being massive twats. I haven't read much in the car thread for ages, and I now appreciate when Jardo puts up a pictorial war and peace because it's a break from the slanging match. Dan, regardless of your 'personality' don't feed the Jardo. It pretty obvious you two don't like each other, so just keep away? I know it sounds childish but this place would be far better if you two weren't hunting the next chance to flame constantly. Jardo, stop being such a car salesman. Prawny Baby
i use a Guardian BC1000 hand held extinguisher Danny, as well as a 4ltr plumbed in system. There was a test on total kit car magazine a few years back of all the small hand helds, and the Guardian 1kg BC came out best in terms of length of continuous output and fire fighting capabilities. they're only about £20 too. I literally have no idea how saying I have a degree in automotive engineering would cause such an argument. If this was the real world and at work or what ever and someone said that to me and I replied with what I did it would be a completely fine thing to reply with. People probably just read it wrong. Prawny Baby
oh wow, I replied to Dannys post at the end of page 687 and look what I'd missed the main issue with this thread - nobody comments. Largely, we all add out bits, then the next person comes along, adds their bit, and totally ignores the post above without commenting at all. there is no discussion, just a series of personal agendas. obviously that's not the case ALL the time, but generally, it's how it goes. I'm guilty of that myself too. Recently, I've been trying to respond to posts rather than just post my own drivel that none of you care about. I havn't answered Mikes question because I know less than nothing about stereos, so I tried to answer Dannys question on something I've got more knowledge on. I could reply to the whole George vs Jardo debate about hybrid vs ko4, but I've avoided that because i don't want to upset Jardo by agreeing with George. So, how about we all make some form of attempt to interact, instead of a string of unrelated posts that's shit to read? I'll start Dann- you've effectively become the new jardo. Think about what this means to you, and try and fix it Jardo - you're becoming less Jardo, I'm impressed, well done chap but your exhaust wonks left, and your number plate wonks right. Please fix. Greg - I don't really like hondas much, but I find that 'teg strangely enjoyable! properly cool little car. Adam - you're probably the fastest of the lot of us and have far too much fun racing. very jealous. Alex - does your gear stick still wobble when you corner? m3 looks awesome, and from the vids we can only assume you're very fast, but we'll never know because you're in foreign land and the chances of us all doing a Trackday together seem non existant - shame! I have however taken your advice and convinced a friend to try some Profil XR01's! Mike - I'm glad you've accepted your scissors gracefully now, it's for the best. Sorry I can't help with your radio, but you probably won't hear it with the roof down anyway, so just listen to what other people are listening to in the traffic. TB - why has it taken you this long to get bored it's been dull for years, but for some reason (not knocking it) we all still come back! Something about TF we seem unable to avoid more than a decade on! Everyone else, lots of love, and

Prawny Baby
For plumbed in systems, If anyones interested, JJC are still doing the lifeline2000 twin nozzle 2.25L systems for £100. My Lifeline Fire marshall 4.0L 4 nozzle system is also on offer at Peter Lloyd for £200, and comes with a decent sized garage extinguisher for that also. Pashley26
Flipping badger bangers what a day. Totally car related. It appears that the "recession" is having a fantastic outcome for the mid to low power output and fuel consumption market. Today is the 30th of September so the end of the 1/4 where the 64 plates come out. And the day that 6 month mid year predictions become realized and announced. Today I've handed over 9 cars and 47 for this month, but across the board "small" cars are nationally outselling larger cars (Ford Focus size+) 7-1. From a numbers game I've done 50% more than I did this time last year. Quite an interesting statistic really, small car market share is up over 25% from last year and a whopping 40%+ from 2006.
