george_seamons
Thanks guys! I'm pretty happy with it, wanted one for a long time. Got a few more things I want to do to it, but its a very expensive car to run, so finding money for mods as well as running it (and a house!) is tricky, added to that, everything I want to do now is expensive haha. When I have the money I would like the wheels refurbed dark anthracite, with the roof vinyled to match, FMIC, tubular manifold, water/meth injection and if I get the money; hybrid turbo. As for current mods; Stage 2 remap, 3" turbo-back decat non-res exhaust, 3" turbo intake pipe, BIG Jetex cone filter with heatshield, N249 valve bypass, Forge 007P recirc valve, Weitec coilovers, Eibach adjustable topmounts, 10mm front spacers, 15mm rear spacers, Ferodo DS2500 brake pads, Whitline adjustable rear antiroll bar, powerflex gearbox mount, HID dipped and mains headlights, de-wiper, colour coded rear "S" badge, debadged boot, Alpine iPod headunit. AMD (who remapped it) dyno'd it at 300.4bhp and 325ftlbs, but their rollers are well known for being optimistic, so probably closer to 285bhp and 300ftlbs, although it is still RAPID! Adam, along the back straight, I was getting 140mph until I heatsoaked (because of the lack of FMIC) then it dropped down to about 120. Its a VERY cabable car, and even without the extra power, it runs rings around my Audi, it is just superior in every way. For the money they are now, there is a huge amount of potential for an awesome car.
AdamR28
its a very expensive car to run, so finding money for mods as well as running it (and a house!) is tricky, added to that last minute decision trackdays Sounds like you have put a lot of time/work into it then! 140mph is nuts... Any ideas what sort of lap times you are at?
george_seamons
It pretty much only did 140 once lol, inlet temperatures get too hot too quickly with the standard twin intercoolers You're right though, that trackday was an un-needed expense haha! No idea on times, my passenger was too busy clinging on/holding back sick to time!
AdamR28
Haha, that's fair enough Was looking at TSL Timing the other night, I think the gearbox karts do something daft like 1:49s
george_seamons
They really are absurdly fast round the track. Literally was gobsmacked at their cornering speed and watching them do 140 while mm's off the floor is insane!
dann2707
Forgive my ignorance but is it the 1.8T?
haydon_peter
George, imagine how much better it would be with a decent map
george_seamons
It certinally is. AMK engine, KO4 turbo, as standard it is 210bhp.
Wrayvon
Forgive my ignorance but is it the 1.8T? EDIT: too slow. But I was wrong anyway, thought it was the 225 as standard! Doh Edited August 1, 2012 by Wrayvon
george_seamons
Lol Tic, don't you start as well! Only difference between mine and the 210 and 225 is a different steering wheel, its basically a facelifted version, but mine is kinda in the middle because it has the "teardrop" mirrors which old ones don't. They both remap to the same figures.
Pashley26
That isn't the only difference between the two at all George. Single CD not tape deck, different wheel bearings part no's, 19mm pins not 20 (on some engines), pegs instead of poppers for the mats and retractable cords for the rear parcel shelf. To name just a few. Edited August 1, 2012 by Pashley26
Luke Rainbird
Pretty important stuff then
george_seamons
I have an aftermarket headunit, so that is irrelevant. I have 20mm wrist pins, and I have twist locks and retracting cords too. My car is a parts bin mish mash. So get back in your box and stop trying to out-geek me on my own car you little f**ktard.

dann2707
Is banning someone for being a douché a valid reason? Don't say no.
Muel
Forums are dictatorships, so yes any reason you like can be used for warning/banning someone.
Pashley26
Seamons would never ban me, he loves me far too much. Not to say he wouldn't get another admin or mod to do it, but he wouldn't push the button himself.
george_seamons
I just tried to ban you, but I could only work out how to warn you...and that's no help!
AdamR28
Just keep adding warn until it turns to a ban
Gandalf the Yellow
screw the arguements, the Cupra R looks fit! - wheels look good the way they are though? keep it a little more OEM looking I reckons, basically the way it is right now. CurtisRider
They are oem wheels
Prawny Baby
Jardo you silly little f**k tart, don't try and outsmart spunky about his own car. All LCR's had 20mm pins, AMK and BAM engines only. wheel bearings are all the same, and the rest nobody gives a flying f**k about.
Gandalf the Yellow
They are oem wheels OEM colour was sort of what I meant, if it's not the standard colour then either way it suits the car a bit more the way it is. Steve
Pashley26
Jardo you silly little f**k tart, don't try and outsmart spunky about his own car. All LCR's had 20mm pins, AMK and BAM engines only. wheel bearings are all the same, and the rest nobody gives a flying f**k about. YOU Mr Prawn are wrong, I know every ounce of you will hate it; but you are. Not all LCR's had 20mm wrist pins, I think all AMK's came with 20mm pins and I've never heard otherwise but there is lots of talk on forums or people stripping down BAM's and them having 19mm pins; rumors started from APY's I believe when APY rods were used in BAM's. Also, Seamons go and compression test your engine. I bet it is lower than Prawns AGU and a BAM. The wheel bearings may well be the same dimensions but Seat keep two different part numbers for them (presumably because they changed suppliers) and people do give a flying f**k about the other things otherwise people like me who have no interest at all in Seats would know about it. I went to a car meet tonight with a load of mates, was pretty cool. This was my fav' car of the night. 490BHP bridgeported (according to my friend) rex. Looked like shit, goes like f**k. Was insane. My friend Chris's Fast Ford cover featured RST - "Datty" which belongs to my mate Scott - And a collection of other cars from the night - 3000GSI Carlton lump in this - I've worked out the BM is doing 27MPG being driven like a grandma; not cool. So to make up for this I kicked the f**k out of the clutch and went for some sideways fun. Now I have a scuff down my side skirt :/ Edited August 1, 2012 by Pashley26
