Ben Cox
Yeah you'll still be able to get a refund for any unused tax and yes, for bikes as well Sam. BenAlso, you still have to display the disc until it expires. You can't remove it in October if it expires in say December or you'll still get in trouble. JD™
Or you won't. I haven't displayed a tax disc in years. Always been taxed, mind.
Tony Harrison
Isn't there an offence for failing to display a tax disc?
Tom Booth
I don't think it's as watched now with the likes of ANPR cameras etc. Most delivery drivers I know don't bother to fit them in the screen.
Ben Cox
Yeah. But the only way you'll get dome is if an over zealous traffic warden or dvla agent clocks it not being there. Ben
JD™
Isn't there an offence for failing to display a tax disc? You'd have to get someone having a really bad day to enforce it. Maybe I've just been lucky.

My next door neighbour reported another neighbour of ours because their tax was out of date nevermind not being displayed haha. Got clamped by the DVLA and everything.
Ben Cox
I've been tempted to do it to one of the commuters who park on my road and walk to the train station, just because he parks like a fanny. Still can't quite get myself to do it though. Ben

Got clamped by the DVLA and everything. The family renting the house next door have abandoned a Clio behind the house in the shared parking area, it's not moved in 9 months and had got multiple flat tyres. It's parked badly, partially across my plot ( it's not designated parking but I have to pull my car literally an inch from the Clio in order to allow my other neighbours to open their gates fully). Tax is up this month, if it doesn't get a new disk (unlikely) do I just email Swansea?

Pashley26
Yes. - Clutch is in, gearbox and transfer box are in bolted up, subframe is hand tightened in place and the engine it back on its mounts. Dad's having a pissy fit about it all, so the front end rebuild isn't happening. It's all got to come apart again for that. And I'm booked in for the club GTI sprint day in September. Pashley26
Instagram was cool when I was posting pics of it, just because you've knocked puberty on the head and discovered the contrast button doesn't mean it's still on fashion... SamKidney
Knew something would go wrong. I got my insurance through money supermarket. All was swell, decent quote, gay black box because insurance is extortionate for newbie drivers here. Details transferred across from comparison site to insurers site. All good, payed, policy complete.. but. I then realized they never asked me to complete a form for my account on the insurers website so I can review my policy. They have my email, and my phone number (and my money..),but I cant access my policy because I dont have an account. Lots of phone calls to be made now, as I cant even access my policy reference number which could be a pain if they ask for it over the phone in the morning. Danny
Have you tried checking your insurance status with http://www.askmid.com/ ?
dann2707
You don't need your insurance certificate or MOT to tax your car at the post office. Just bring your logbook, green slip or reminder in. Ben Am I missing something here.. Sam why don't you just go to the post office and take your v5 and see if it all goes through? dann2707
Forgot to say, something cool that's never happened with me before whilst driving but saw a few other clio sports out driving and they both flashed and waved to me well the other guy nodded. Thought it was really cool as I have never had that with my other cars throughout the years. There's such a cool community within the clio scene from what I've seen so far. That is all
