Tom Booth
Yus, lacquer generally will sit on anything. Keeping it on there is the harder part. The 'softness' of the basecoat is to allow the solvent/thinners in the lacquer to soak into the basecoat to allow it to grip, then the following coats can do the same in the previous coats. Pashley26
Not me that's for sure. It was just the first site that came up when I searched "instant number plate valuation" on google.

My bad I thought you meant the whole car which is why I was surprised. Is the fact I've been in a car for 15 hours straight an acceptable excuse for this moronic mistake? dann2707
Just been on Briskoda and someone made a thread about their turbo dying and posted this video of it. I can't stop laughing at the noise it's making. It reminds me of those screaming goats. Someone thought the thread was a joke and the guy was screaming in the background haha http://s753.photobucket.com/user/koopa1991/media/Mobile%20Uploads/trimD1DC0551-40D2-460F-BEEF-B61151CBE8BF.mp4.html Edited July 18, 2014 by dann2707

dann2707
Wheels came out a treat, used your technique @tom booth thank you very much! I need to find some balls to start flatting them and polishing them up but I think i'll leave it for now haha Really pleased with them for a rattle can job. I don't expect them to last forever / be super durable but they've got to be better than this...DSCN2074 by dann2707, on Flickr 2014-07-02 13.15.03 by dann2707, on Flickr 2014-07-02 13.15.17 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2459 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2460 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2461 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2462 by dann2707, on Flickr Then got some paint stripper to attack my centre caps. It's working really well i'm impressed so far. DSCN2463 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2464 by dann2707, on Flickr
Tom Booth
Looking good Dan, leave them a week or so to fully harden then go at them, although if you just nib the top off the lacquer with some 2000 grit they will harden quicker.
