TOMTRIALS123
that noise. Go to 2 minutes and 9 seconds and u can see the suspension break as it goes around the corner. (Watch the right back wheel). (one for u Jack) Took some photos of my friends car last night, probably not to anyone's taste on here though It awesome! How much did it cost him to snazz it up? dann2707
The other day I set out to adjust the exhaust a little bit. Due to the mounts being a bit deadafied it's not sitting them correctly. So with a cable tie or a few I pulled it to the middle a bit more! Before: DSCN2327 by dann2707, on Flickr After. Sorry for the dark pic!: DSCN2342 by dann2707, on Flickr The leather/alacantra seats are a tad bobbly! Classic problem apparently so I got my trusty bic safety razor and shaved it, it worked okay but I could really do with a proper de-bobbler machine DSCN2329 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2331 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2332 by dann2707, on Flickr After. The seat is so stained. Needs sorting out properly to be honest haha DSCN2333 by dann2707, on Flickr I then applied by front bumper black inserts. These are standard on the car but are foten removed once they deteriorate or are removed for a bumper respray. Mine aren't there so got some. Before: DSCN2343 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2345 by dann2707, on Flickr The inserts DSCN2344 by dann2707, on Flickr After being applied: DSCN2346 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2347 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2348 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2351 by dann2707, on Flickr DSCN2352 by dann2707, on Flickr The eagle eyed of you might wonder why the car is so low at the front haha. This might give a clue DSCN2349 by dann2707, on Flickr The wheels are off completely to be shot blasted Monday for me to spray them Can't wait as they're such a let down at the moment. Pashley26
Not a happy chappy. Techniclutch sent me an A3 pressure plate, and an A3 friction plate who an S3 fitment flywheel and flywheel bolts which foul the flywheel. Cars been on my dad's ramp since Friday night, he hasn't been able to get any work done because my stupid S3 is on the ramp. Today we were supposed to be just fitting the clutch. Centring it. And them reassembling. Instead we have had to reassemble - a gearbox and won't get a chance to sort it until next weekend at the earliest. Not ducking happy. LiamWood!
In need of your advice Jardo/ car cleaning people. I have a championship white Ek9 that's in need of a great deal of loving. It's been stood outside a workshop for the best part of a year without being washed/cared for etc etc. The paint has oxidised rather badly but what sort of products will bring the paint back to life and what methods would you go through to achieve the glossy deep shine it deserves? Here's some pictures: Liam.
Danny
Step 1: Remove the sticker off the screen Step 2: Wash it
Pete.M
Put the 2.3 engine in the Sierra today. Started no problem, great feeling. Can't tell exactly how well it runs because it has no brakes at the moment, but it'll be finished soon. Cannot wait to take it to the track!
LiamWood!
Step 1: Remove the sticker off the screenStep 2: Wash it Thanks for the input Danny. The car has been washed since those pictures, that's all I have to show the oxidisation on the paint. The sticker is also staying I'm afraid. SamKidney
EK9's going to be a beaut when its done Liam! You saying with OEM alloys or going for something else? Your old fortrans in white/black/anthracite would look brilliant... I've got the T/B and inlet mani off my D15 at my dads waiting for you too. Throw me £20 and the lots yours. dann2707
Whys that? (Serious question btw) Like how this is perceived as cool http://www.wallsave.com/thumb/honda-civic-low-garage-car-pictures-and-1465562.jpg It's just f**king stupid. And the whole, massive bean can exhaust, VTEC noise that everyone raves about. It's just a bit of a joke really. It's like they're more into stance and how the car looks than how it handles. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a good looking car and it being visually maintained well but when you can't go down certain roads because of speed bumps etc it just shows how shit it all is. And not tarring everyone with the same brush but honda/jap car owners seem to be the most narrow minded drivers around "if it's not jap it's shit approach" is the perfect term to describe it. I can name a few trials bikers alone who have this mindset. Whereas I know my car is french, I know it wil probably break down, the build quality inside is ridiculously shit but I love it and I love all other cars on the road too. Apart from Multiplas, they can cunt off. Edited July 13, 2014 by dann2707
LiamWood!
I understand what you mean with the whole stance shite, I can't stand it personally. My ek9 is going to be built with track use in mind. It's running a b18c4 turbo, 349hp at the flywheel, 4.7Fd LSD gearbox from an integra. Just the paintwork is a problem really, I just need Jardo to write me an idiots guide to polishing it, with what products to use in which order. Sam next time your in Barton, drop me a text mate. Also, staying with the Oem wheels. The fortrans where 4x100 so won't fit the Ek9 unfortunately.
SamKidney
Will do Completely overlooked that the Fortrans were 4x100 OEM wheels are sweet anyway, look forward to seeing it
LiamWood!
Will do Completely overlooked that the Fortrans were 4x100 OEM wheels are sweet anyway, look forward to seeing it I've got 2 sets of oem ek9 wheels anyway, one set with mismatched ditch finders on which will get burned up and tyres removed so I can refurb the wheels, then a nice set of wheels with yoko spec 2s on which will also get burned up and replaced with ad08s. JDâ„¢
The idiots guide to washing your car is, wash it. Snow foam, wash, dry, polish (with a DA preferably), seal (project 32 is my choice). It's not hard, there isn't much in terms of advice, just do it.
