dann2707
I have decent tyres on the rear, shit and unmatched ones on the front. I prefer oversteer to understeer. Would you recommend me swapping them over? Got an update later too
MartMini
Stripped the front end of my car down today, removed the front fan. Theres a coil of wire, which plugs in near the fan, am i right in saying its some sort of ambient temperature sensor? and for what purpose? Greetings
Seen a lot of mental driving in rally vids but this tops it all. How the hell is it possible for a car to drive so quickly on loose surfaces? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia_1vVDwmkg

MadManMike
Just on the off chance, there's a big meet in Bristol today at Krispy Kreme - I'll be there in the Leon with my camera. Come and say hi if you're in the area - starts at 2pm.

dann2707
My wheels are kerbed to shit thanks to the previous owner/s so i'm refurbing them this week hopefully. I'm totally undecided on what colour to do them, what do people think? I know ultimately it's my choice but throw your thoughts into the mix Anthracite would be like the cup model wheels. Standard: Anthracite: Even darker?

That's right by my house... It's fair to say there was some rather unusable cars there. Most of the ones that extreme were on air though so not sat like that constantly. Personally I'm not into that look, but there were some nice cars. Yeah I thought you lived up that way, it's only a 5 minute drive for me but my sat nav managed to make it 25 minutes by sending me all over the place. Mark W
It was as much the mis-matched wheels as anything - is that a 'look' or did they just splash out too much on that bit of parp to bang on the end of their exhaust? 25mins is impressive though! Azarathal
Yep! Stripped timing gear = game over. You've put so much into it already would it not be worth keeping it going?
Boumsong
There has previously been talk of an engine swap. I guess this could accelerate that plan...
Skoze
Allen's got it - i'm gonna do a swap of some description and shelf the original engine for a proper re-build in the future when I have the time, money and inclination. Just pretty gutted, and it's now left me without any transport alongside needing to find some cash I don't have.

MadManMike
Can't quote for some reason, but Mark: It was only that front wheel that mismatched, I guess he hit a pot hole or got a flat or something... Yeah 25 minutes was impressive, considering it was only about 4 roads away from my place and it took me in to the centre of Bristol and back out again (I've never been to Avonmeads before so wasn't aware of how easy it is to get there!)
