The Car Thread

New ride height for a very bumpy comp. Should be ok despite it essentially being my track setup from 2 weeks ago. Also set the rear ARB to very stiff and front to soft to counter the front inner wheel lifting off the ground in corners.

This also surprised me a lot, probably caused by a stone which flew off a car driving in front of me on the last trackday. Kind of surprised, that glass is bloody thick and you'd need to try hard to damage it with a hammer.

Aye mate! Finished uni now so won't be doing the 70 mile round daily trip! Going to be getting a job in Leeds which will only be a super short drive. Always wanted a 182 too.

Cheers for adding me on sc btw, expect some mother abuse hahaha

Where in Leeds do you work/live?

I live in Garforth. I'm actually going for a job interview up your end on Tuesday! A company that creates hydraulic actuators. What do you do as a job?
The mrs is from at Rothwell but we now live in Rodley. I work just off Armley gyratory building websites.

My uncle lives in rodley, and I used to live in Pudsey. Many a good night has been had in the rodley barge with him. Only place I've known that does carling premier on tap

What a knob.

Astra is so close to being ready, annoyingly a bleed nipple snapped on a caliper and the dump plug is very rounded. Got some fun coming my way tomorrow... Hopefully it'll be mechanically sorted then and I can crack on with making it shiny. Clutch and gearbox work a treat now at least :D

Porsche really needs some love, coil leaked all it's oil so I whacked on an old spare. Driveshafts need replacing, lumpy idle needs curing and the car looks like a feeling state as the rattle canned sections are all cracking up, I can't afford a real respray this year so I'm thinking graffiti paint like robins got on the mx5...
