craigjames
Usually an admin fee for changing the details and issuing a new certificate, you'll have to post the old one back to them too. But yeah pretty damn easy. Might be an additional cost or a saving due to it being different car/insurance group etc.
trials owns
Yeah - you might find they wont insure you on that car only for a silly amount, which is a pain! worked out for me though, swapped my insurance from my 1.4 8v fabia to a 1.8t passat for about £80 extra
SamKidney
Cheap ways to make my small car fun? It's only a little 1.2 Corsa that I have to live with for a year or so until I go better. Its just such a dull drive.
Jake.
I'll give them a call and see what they say, I've seen a quote of £1,500 online and I'm happy with that. If it's less than £500 or so to change the insurance I think I will fully well go ahead with it.

Azarathal
I've found the mr2 is nicer to drive but little shitheap hatch backs are more fun on the road because you can throw them about with insane amounts of body roll

MadManMike
Lower it. My old Leon was really sluggish but lowering it made it easier to carry speed through corners / roundabouts
SamKidney
I've bought cheapo 60mm drop springs, not doing coilovers, rear arb could be quite easily done. Want to have a bit of fun but don't want to seen as falling into the generic "chavy Corsa" following they have
Azarathal
Speaking of springs, I've got to send some springs and shock boots back, best way to send? I'm guessing something like Myhermes?
Pashley26
What a day!!! I have earned this... So I have been getting very concerned about my fuel consumption, 28mpg just isn't cutting it. I do 80 miles a day to work and back, six days a week. 80x6 = 480 a week. x 52= 24,960 a year just in commuting. 2080 miles a month. 2080/28mpg is 74 gallons. X 4.5 to the gallon, is 334 litres. X1.4 for a Power is £468 a month in fuel. Sodding ludicrous! So I have spent the day experimenting. And win the cruise control at 62mph, if I add an extra half an hour onto my work commute down the M3 I can average... £160 a month fuel saving, for three hours of my time. That's almost as much as I get paid for a days work! So I'm very happy with that, the MPG is very good for what it is. That said, I am a very good Eco driver. So, boring stuff out the way. Today is my first day off since getting the S, and it's about time I put my mark on it. Or more, got somebody else's off of it. So, I iron-x'd it. Clayed it. Machine polished it with fast cut. Machine polished it with Autoglym intensive. Hand waxed it with Dark Angel and then sealed it. Whoop. This took a lot longer than I wanted it to. But it was getting there. One side at a time. Eventually it started to look deep and blue, like minge should. Used up the last of the pad polishing the wheel faces. This was a fantastic idea. Then I decided, "do you know what has no place in 2014's modern society? ****ing purple window tints. That's what!" This was a hugely costly, time consuming and idiotic error. What a pain in the arse. In the end I got my steamer out the hair dryer just wasn't doing it. Then we were on a roll...no pun intended. Film was off, shame about the glue... So in the back I go with white spirit and a Stanley blade. Good job I don't really like the seats... Luckily the back window came off easy enough, not... White spirit was my friend here. After about two hours.. Working away... Then a I hoovered it, steam cleaned it steamed the seats and dried them with the heat gun to remove any sagging, dyed the carpets, stained the dash and sealed it all up. Then I shaved the seats, which was fun. Made a huge difference! So I took some pictures. Now, I'm f**king knackered!

Its just such a dull drive. Take the shock absorbers off. *minge* God those stickers irritate me. Comrade = French/Russian. VAG = German. WHAT. It is looking damn fine though, would love to properly cut and polish the capper some time. Big ups on the fuel saving too - I manage an extra 10mpg by keeping it to 55/60. We're so boring.
Pashley26
That's why they are coming off, it annoys me so much. Thanks for the lovely comments, I know it gets a bit boring after a while but hopefully this will be a nice quick project. Increasing the MPG is immense, thank f**k for cruise control! Feel free to come my way and I will happily machine polish the Capri.
dann2707
Can you see why I got addicted to it now, it'd all about beating your previous record and before you know it you're supping on old man ale and complaining at the youth of today haha
Pashley26
I can see now, only because I am storing up petrol so I can drive my car furiously on Sundays. MPG is boss.

Pashley26
Most certainly. I would go over it with a hair dryer on high heat at low speed. If that doesn't cut it step up to a heat gun on low. Leather shrinks when it's hot, quite commonly used by mobile repair vans. It can discolour it is you use too much heat.http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AI20zJRFedk Edited June 13, 2014 by Pashley26
