Topsy
A garage near me is selling a 1993 mx-5 with just 85'000km. Looks like its new and claims not to have been used in the winter. Costs~4500£. Does anyone think that's a good deal? (sorry I can't provide more info right now) I've literally got no idea about buying cars yet ^^
Pashley26
No, that is a terrible deal. It is £2500 too much. - No George it is a brilliant idea. An MOT, tax and service was due on the Clio, and the cambelt was 35,000/7 years over due. It needs two front tires to get through MOT, and even with all of that done it would have not put the price up much. Also the BMW is £31 a MONTH cheaper to insure, which is good. And no, I never said I am, was or intended to buy a car in September? I will buy something early part of next year, Jan/Fed whilst the used market is flooded with people selling cheapee to try and secure new plates in March. September just happens to be a bonus and will give me a fair chunk of the saving. Now was a brilliant time to sell it. forteh
No, that is a terrible deal. It is £2500 too much. Don't forget the fact its in Switzerland, for UK market then it probably is overpriced
stoozie
Picked up my new car yesterday, bit of a change from the old D22 Navara I had. Old D22 Navara. Newer D40 Navara.

(sorry I can't provide more info right now) I've literally got no idea about buying cars yet ^^ Not sure on prices over there, but over here about £2000 maximum is about right depending on a lot of things. How much would it cost to buy one from here and drive it over? We have quite a lot of 'Eunos' models in the UK, come from Japan, as they have higher power, LSD, air con, and mostly in better condition because they don't use salt on the roads over there
Revolver
air con Hard top then?
AdamR28
Mine is soft top and air con (well, was, ripped the air con out the other night, don't think it's worked for years).
Revolver
Odd combo, cool. I should take mine out too, damn thing. Or fix it.
Pashley26
Tic has just pointed out that the number plate on the BMW is FTC...f**k The Clio lol Took it for a spin today, it rained and I did some drifting. Mid slide I heard a ticking noise, turns out the manifold is cracked. And so it begins...
AdamR28
cambelt was 35,000/7 years over due. Not what your advert said And so the modding begins?
craigjames
Civic is gone i'm now car less and the hunt begins....
Pashley26
Well, I have no receipt for the cambelt but was assured it was done. The new owner having looked at the service history can make his own assumption, I can't see why it wouldn't be done but as I said to the owner...No receipt no proof! But for now I'm saying it wasn't just for persuasions sake. Yes modding can begin, if it hasn't broken down in 6 weeks I'll spend some money on it. Bucky, advise me? Cheapest ebay coilovers I can get, a set of wheels and strip the hell out of it?

AdamR28
Odd combo, cool. I should take mine out too, damn thing. Or fix it. Certainly is. My PAS was leaky and didn't want to have to buy a new belt, so ripped the lot out. 27kg!! Get it done
Tom Booth
Passat it up Craig, drop it an some new wheels. Mines about 110mm down on the front an 90mm on the back, still epic comfort an ride.
MadManMike
So I've missed a few pages, but if I bought my other half a custom plate and she sold the car and got rid of the plate I'd be majorly pissed. I'd probably ask for my money back to be honest, that's harsh.
Wrayvon
He hasn't got rid of it, just put on retention so he can transfer it to any other car when he wants (and pays 80quid~ for the privilege).
Pashley26
Read the last couple of pages then, because that's not what's happened lol And no Wrayvon I don't pay £80 when I want to put it on a car, I pay £104 for 1 year or £155 for three years and I can keep the plate on hold for three years and transfer it whenever I want inclusive of that price. Ah fair enough, I stand corrected. (pretty similar effect though, you're still paying for it to put on another car eventually )
Pashley26
Yeah, it's better than putting it on her car like I was going to. That would have been rude lol
MadManMike
I stand corrected. It was TL;DR, so my own fault

dann2707
Got my balls tingling mate, nice one. One thing though, when you do the bottle reflection shot on the roof stick the product on a cloth, doesn't risk damaging the paintwork then.
