Greetings
Went to merc today to get some figures for a a45 amg. Weather was crap so going back tomorrow to have a gander round 1 and start up ect. Very pretty car. Are you the one with a ~300bhp Lotus 7 lookalike? If so I'd be rather interested to hear your opinion on the Merc, anyone who drives a mental car like that must know what they're talking about

LukasMcNeal
Out of interest where are you looking at the prices from? For leasing have a look on lings cars, the website looks basic but she's been on dragons den and is completely legit.
TROYston
You need to be a part of staffordshire council to apply, but it's pretty unknown of! Linky dinky http://www.tradedservices.staffordshire.gov.uk/fleetcare/car-leasing.aspx Only one other person from our Firestation has got one, rates them very highly. You can't be on adhoc payment, but so long as you are, you can get new car! Just give him or her a bell and they'll send the list over just shy of 8k variants. CurtisRider
Troyston, I work for Staffordshire and I'm looking to do the same thing once I've confirmed a full time contract with my school. Quite a few teachers are using it, although they are getting fairly dull cars
Pashley26
Not car related at all, but as this is the only part of the forum where anybody know me... Prawn and I are out shooting today. So different to our usual, get up, wash car, drive car, park car up and complain that it is broken. Routine.
Azarathal
Where is that? I've been considering going to the bisley(sp?) gun club, not sure if it's near basingjoke though
dann2707
So after realising I had a boost leak I set on to create some kind of silicone tubing method to connect to the EGR delete. This is the 90° tubing! And the original boost pipe that uses VAG connectors that leak like mad. So I decided to see if I could use the little bead around the boost pipe to hold the silicone pipe on but would require me to chop it down a bit. Which eventually left me with this! I tidied it up with a file after those pics. Then it's going on like this. Wala! I could do with chopping the silicone down a bit more but it's okay for now, wanted to play it safe!

MadManMike
Boost gauges on a TDI... Opinions? I'd quite like to fit one to see how much I'm running, but not going to bother if it's a pain in the arse / pointless.
Luke Rainbird
Given it's doing exactly the same job as on a petrol engine I can't see there being any difference in fitting/use. In that respect, it should be nice and easy and given that the engine's fairly modified definitely a worthwhile task Could even do a Dan Cox and go all out on the pro-look mounting; http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/292840-daniels-seat-ibiza-sport-pd130/?p=3480044

MadManMike
Yeah I was looking for a vent-mount pod actually, they make ones specifically for it but I can't find them at the moment. I don't trust myself to do a good enough job butchering the existing vent.
dann2707
Thanks Luke:) it's really easy to do matey. Good to see if you have any boost leaks too.
Luke Rainbird
No worries - ended up reading through your entire thread on Briskoda last night after hunting that down, amidst the random lengths of strangely-connected vac-hose bodging it's a decent read
