Azarathal
Is that why you had/have an mx5?
AdamR28
Haha, I was waiting for that Pretty much, they look gay but drive ace.
Azarathal
I'd drive one If it was a bit more "raw"

AdamR28
^^ Yep, looks shit Nah, that is one of the more 'manly' ones, but all the aero and scene stuff doesn't look right. Have you driven a Mk1 Mikey, out of interest? Not a loaded question - just curious!
err
That one is a bit of a mish mash to be honest, it's trying to be a bit of everything and not succeeding! It was the first tough looking one i could find. Hugely missing my old civic ATM, having to spend money on my sack of shite micra for the MOT isn't helping this! Have a soft spot for that shape Civic, seen a few on track days and they always go well!
err
K20A? Haha I wish! The blue one was a vti which died of rust, at it's most extreme it literally had no interior (one bucket and harness, with the dials cable tied to the steering column) white one was supposed to get the engine/running gear from the vti but i ran out of money and had to sell up Know what you mean dude. It's definitely less gay than a totally standard one to be fair (which I drive every day), haha. Have a soft spot for that shape Civic, seen a few on track days and they always go well! For a fwd they have a really good chassis, the DC2 integra was basically an longer wheelbase version of these! I have a similar soft spot for the mx5, i'd have one in a second if i didn't need space for the kids!
Azarathal
I haven't driven a mk1 but I've heard they're more of a drivers car than the mk2 but they're also older (than me) and even more prone to rust due to age plus as mentioned less aethetic
RobinJI
I'd drive one If it was a bit more "raw" Do you mean an MX-5 or a mk1 MR2? Either way both are considerably more 'raw' than a mk2 MR2. The mk2's are good cars, and make a decent daily, but I know a few guys who are into their mk1's and they all felt the mk2 was a much softer more 'GT' based car, rather than a nimble sporty thing like the mk1 is. MX-5's are a great laugh, and I miss mine every time I see one, but I just can't live with the lack of practicality. Even as a second car they're still a no go for me sadly. TROYston
Can somebody link to to the ds3000 pads, found them on egay but I'd rather buy from a UK dealer! Around the 140 mark for front pads that will throw my face into the windscreen sounds like a deal!
Azarathal
£140 for pads? Nearly head butted my mums steering wheel the first time I drove her car and that's got £15 a set pads
Pashley26
Mega lols. I miss racebrakes, these used to genuine destroy your face. And wheels. Mintex M1177 race pads, stupid for road use.Won't post a video, wtf? Edited December 12, 2013 by Pashley26
Greetings
Well the Daihatsu broke down at my mechanic (very convenient) so I got the chance to drive an M6. I've been hearing the owner saying it's a piece of crap for at least half a year and that his E39 M5 is the best car ever made by BMW. After driving his M6, I totally agree. The throttle feels like it's made of cheese and the gearbox is a nightmare, I was never quite sure what it was thinking. As a result I was never involved in the drive and felt as if I was fighting with the car even on open roads. Engine sound is great, the interior quality is superb but other than that, it's bad. Luke Rainbird
Werd. Mine's still beading far better than it should be considering the Leon is filthy and the wax is 4 months old!
Pashley26
Great wax for this time of year, good show. A really good way to get a little more gloss from 915 is to melt half a tin, and mix in a 1/4 tin of HD. It's awesome blended. How did you apply, hand foam applicator?
