Fully huge massive clean required today, so expect many pictures.

No thanks. ;)

I think I speak on behalf of the entire forum when I say there is more than enough pictures of your Audi on here.

...unless of course you mean your new one. In which case, carry on! Just not 10000000 different angles of the same thing!

Alex: I've gotta be honest, I think that's pretty shit course planning to put that line in as part of the track.

I'm all for racing, and interesting challenging courses, but that line was not made for cars to cross, and is plain f**king stupid.

Anything that's that likely to damamge the cars if they're taking a normal line at normal pace is just bad organisation, a tight chicane before hand to lower speed down the drop would probably have saved things, and given you a championship too :(

Gutted for you.

It will get bigger with all the products going on it.

Raining today, 4wheel drive and absolutely awful tyres has been fun.

Think I might have to put some decent boots on it for winter, I remember you guys have a collective preference for tyres but cannot find it! Any pointers? 195/60 R15's

I think last time tyres came up a few of us agreed that Uniroyal Rainsport 2's were very good and decent value. You'll struggle to find 2's now, but I'm hoping the rainsport 3's are basically the same tyre.

Alex, that sucks, and I do agree with Nick, that's a properly silly bit for them to put in the stage, but 2nd is still far from a kick in the balls, so well done on coming 2nd!

I didn't have anything against it until I saw the video. Too many people losing car bits on that jump. We only lost bumpers - one of my rivals in a Megane RS Cup dislocated his engine and pulled a half shaft from the wheel on that jump. He didn't finish and dropped from an almost certain 1st place overall in AB Cup (all makes, not just BMW) to 4th.

We all have a choice whether we want to cut the corner and get air or take the more easy route. But many drivers fighting for the win were forced to take the jump. And that's a problem.

Here's an on board from the last run:

2 mistakes which cost me the championships in that vid alone - bumper and 3rd gear not going in on one corner - pressure plate problems.

Awesome vid Alex! I didn't realise from the earlier clip that the bumper came off mid way through the run, it looked like it was at the end from the first clip.

You lost a LOT of time on that first right hander after the bumper incident, and must have lost a good second or so in total from when it was dragging, sounded terrible and you could see you were uneasy driving until the noise stopped!

personally, seeing what you mean about the line, that short cut should have been barriered off and the turn made tighter to avoid such a dangerous / damaging line being taken over that drop. Your series looks rough, my splitter wouldn't last 5 minutes there! haha.

Went out with a mate yesterday to take a few photos, this will annoy jardo hugely, because for some reason he absolutely hates the bloke. Sorry chap!

Was fun, and used less fuel than going for a long drive :)

Looks good jardo, what plans do you have?

What Prawn said basically!

This is going to be a project to get it mint again, because it had never been polished. Rather than spending money on making it go fast or whatever, I just want it smart and to drive as nicely as it does now.

Original owner had it Autoglym Lifeshine'd when it was new, so never cared for it st all body work wise. I asked him about it and he openly admitted it has never been polished.

Yesterday I lightly polished it with Autobrite Cherry Glaze just because it was all I had in my mini kit, I then refined that a little with Black Hole and an applicator pad. Then late last night I waxed it with Dodo Juice Blue Velvet.

I cleaned the interior with diluted Autofinesse APC, which has made a huge difference. I never realised the steering wheel was contrast stitched until I cleaned all the make up out of the wheel!

I am happy with the paint work itself now, just looking to enhance it with some Angelwax Dark Angel on payday.

The interior plastics have all been stripped and cleaned with Autofinesse APC then refined and protected with Megs trim protector. (Which smells like arse)

Focus ST? Volvo?

Always the optimist Adam

my guess is on a 2.5 tdi A4

Adam wins. Its a mint 07 plate Focus ST3 with 34k on the clock.

Adam were you by any chance on the M1 going north last night? I saw what looked like the tartybego towing an MX5 on route home.
