AdamR28
I haven't been sent the vids just yet, rest assured they will be up as soon as I have them. Although they won;t be anything special, just a cone massacre. Good stuff - nothing wrong with that In videos news... Here's a vid from this weekend. It's long, but highlights are at: First few mins - the start and getting mugged by nearly everyone on the first lap! 1:45 - went for a pass around the outside but got squeezed out at the last second 2:00 - slidey slidey, followed by getting passed by Jeremy and Duncan, then we're pretty close for the chicane... 3:05 - made up a load of ground at Church but couldn't get through 5:10 - same again 6:00 - getting close with Jeremy 7:30 - Simon gets it sideways coming out of the chicane, made a pass up the inside 8:05 - snatched 2nd too forcefully and got it pretty sideways 8:30 - made up a lot of ground through Goodwood and Church, made the pass, but c**ked it up! 9:45 - dicing with Jeremy again 11:20 - good run through Seagrave, made the pass as Liam trundles off with head gasket failure 14:20 - chasing Duncan, getting close through Church 15:10 - huge slide, lost a lot of time 16:45 - went for the pass and c**ked it up... 17:40 - starting to rain now, another good run through Church 18:05 - huge train of cars through the chicane 19:10 - more rain and a good run through Goodwood 19:50 - the Rodders train gets ever closer! 20:15 - side by side with Matt 20:55 - good run out of Goodwood to make the pass... just. Then right up behind Amy at Church. 21:35 - tried around the outside but didn't make it stick 21:45 - little bit of slidey action for the crowd on the last lap 2nd vid uploading now too

haydon_peter
Damn, while this was happening I was probably just over the other side of the ridge digging trails and riding bikes, if I had known it was happening I would have come and watched! AdamR28
Haha, I'll try and spot you Nick! No way Tic - I did see some sort of bike trail on the way out, small world Race 2 for anyone interested... it's a bit more hectic than Race 1: Start - got away ok, then lost the back end through Goodwood (1:00), but managed to bring the gap back down at Church (1:20) 1:40 - sent it up the middle of a pack of cars and squeezed ahead at the chicane 5:30 - caught Jeremy up 5:50 - up the inside at Goodwood 6:25 - comes back past up to the chicane, Amy right on my tail again now, for quite a long time... 7:50 - hit the limiter through Church, huge sideways pant-filling moment - scariest moment I've ever had on track! 8:15 - Amy has a look up the inside but just keep her back 10:20 - Jonathan spun at the complex, managed to get past safely 11:10 - sideways at Church again 11:20 - tried to work a pass on Jeremy but stuffed it up, ran wide, let Amy back through 11:45 - was pretty sure I left Matt plenty of room there...... 12:05 - wrong gear selection cost me a big gap to Amy! 12:45 - lined up a pass by carrying speed through Church, but it wasn't to be... 13:05 - tried around the outside again but no joy 14:10 - carried speed through Goodwood and made a pass up the inside at Church 14:40 - Simon comes steaming through 16:15 - sent it up the inside from way back 16:35 - but to no avail 19:15 - sideways through Church again 19:45 - grabbed 5th instead of 3rd, arse! 21:30 - crossed the line, still very close to all the other cars
haydon_peter
Not sure which way you will have driven out but if you went north on the A338 through Shipton Bellinger and Tidworth you drove straight past our bike park
AdamR28
Sounds familiar... on the right as I went past heading North?
munkee
Well the lotus has been in the garage for a week now and its driving me crazy not having it When I bought the car I noticed on the service history it had "heaters to be checked - customer request" but no outcome. Sadly when I got the car delivered and I tested the heaters they weren't working (no fans) even though the dealer had said they were working when it left his place. After a while I had some intermittent success but eventually on a drive home during a thunderstorm they completely packed in. No amount of wiping away the condensation or driving with the windows open in the pissing rain could help me. I had to pull over on the A1 and wait for the rain to pass and let the engine cool down. It seems heat from the cooler at the front was just being thrown up to hit the windscreen and had made everything 100x worse. A quick call to the guy I bought the car from has resulted in a £700 fix, none of which I have to pay for. Happy days and just in time for shite weather to return in the next couple of months. haydon_peter
Sounds familiar... on the right as I went past heading North? Yep, it's on the right as you go North and the car park runs along the side of the road, depending on the time there will have been a load of cars and vans there. AndrewEH1
Well after work today I went to CLCM to get the wheels re-aligned now I've got some new rubber on. Was going pretty well, the kit they use is pretty impressive but both of the track rod adjusters are seized... Not an urgent fix but something that needs looked at in the next week or so before I can go back to finish the alignment. Also I knew the exhaust was a little rusty but this was the first chance for me to look at it well, not as bad as thought! So that's okay
RobinJI
So one of our neighbours seems to have left a car on the shared parking area out the front for a good 8 weeks now, without touching it, at first I figured it had probably just broken and they were waiting to sort it, but now it's taking the piss. This is annoying because the parking's very limited. The trouble is, this shared parking's technically public road-side parking, and to complicate things a little, this seemingly abandoned car's Polish, so it's not like I can dob it in for having no road tax, despite the fact they're not paying the relevant tax to keep it on a public road. Is there any law about how long you can park on a public road for without moving? Any advice on what could be done to politely/legally persuade this car to go away and never come back? err
as you mentioned it was polish, just report it to the police for having excessively tinted rear lights and/or chrome arch trims.
Luke Rainbird
If it's causing a real issue then you could always go down the route of reporting it as an abandoned vehicle, but obviously that's pretty harsh if it's not really the case
Muel
Just tow it out the way? They'll probably not notice.
dann2707
As per FaceyB. Saying goodbye to my Ford Focus as the buyer collected her tonight. I'm genuinely emotional! I've done 25,000 miles in her in 2 years (got it wrong in the ad). She's been such a f**king amazing car.

Gimpa was there when we moved in 4 years ago, and hasn't been touched or turned a wheel since! Apparently loads of people have complained, and they can't touch it. We even know who's it is, and see him every day!b*****d. it's a state.
Jake.
Buzzing as f**k! Saw the car I'm potentially getting last night, had a good old chat with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. I decided to only speak about the flaws and make sure he told me everything. Turns out it's actually in pretty good condition for the age! Lots of small thingsbe that need a bit of tlc but they don't stop the car from working. He's going to take it to an mot and we're both pretty sure what things it needs so we're sorting then out before, decided we'd go halves on mot and the things that need fixing which I think is alright since I'm getting it much cheaper compared to what he could potentially get. I dreamt about driving it the other day and I woke up a bit sad it wasn't in my drive.
dann2707
Oh bejesus christing nora i've just booked a train ticket to travel to Canterbury tomorrow (6 hours on the train overall) to see a seat ibiza. If it's a bag of shit I have no idea what to do as ive only purchased a one way ticket.
Luke Rainbird
I did that once to see a Golf in High Wycombe (the best part of 6 hours on the train from here). Got there and the car was an absolute shitter despite the pictures showing it as immaculate. Either they were from years ago or, more likely, a completely different car! Turned up, saw the heap and told the guy where to stick it as I hopped the turnstyle back onto the train. Getting back in to central London to start my way back to Plymouth was fairly straightforward, but it turned out that that was the night all the riots kicked off a couple of years ago so there were loads of closures etc pretty much right in front of me the whole way so it meant loads of random changes and rethinks. Arrived home about 4am but hadn't spent a penny and saved myself the £300 last minute return journey!

Well I told him my horror story of today where I got there and the car had a massive dent in the back etc and he assured me that this one had no dents just a few stone chips to be expected. Anyone fancy putting up a small boy around that area if things go to pot and train tickets are a million quid that night? haha
Pashley26
No pictures update. My one wheel drive, over weight non BMW cheat-powered daily driver had some cash spent on her today. A set of rebound adjustable AP coilovers have been ordered, a set of Project Silver camber plate top mounts and Prawn is delivering a set of 323mm Brembos off an LCR to me early next week. If I haven't wiped out my funds a pair of RMD maximum protection seats will be ordered along with LCR caster corrective hubs and potentially VT engine mounts. As somebody who is famous for never spending money on my car, this is most alarming to a lot of people.
Luke Rainbird
Good shit. Sounds as though you're turning it into a track car? Turns out I could do with replacing one/two of my wishbone bushes. Given that I've already got the hubs kicking about, seems as good a time as any to keep an eye out for some LCR/etc cast lower arms and do it all in one hit. Is there anything in particular I need to look out for when buying these to make sure I get the right stuff? Ideas on what I should be paying would be cool too
