Well it did spin up most of the way down! Still looked quick to me though!

Found a pic of my car:

My mate works at Richter, and got me 2 free tickets and a club stand pass! Premium parking in the shade under the big balloon! ;)

Yep, I do like Pilsdon Pen, awesome place, and some fun roads leading to/from it, just a shame all the hedges are so high so you have to keep the speed down for a lot of it :( I can't say I noticed a car breakers in view from there, but then there's about 6 different valleys you can see, so I wouldn't really know where to start. I'm pretty close by in Chard, only took about 15 minutes to get out there.

(Got any Sciroccos in? Preferably white? :P)

haha not at the moment :P , yeah not too bad roads, but just commuting too work iv almost had two head-on crashes due to a few lorrys using the road.

yeah, you wouldn't have thought there was a car breakers down there though!

Leon looks awesome Luke, wiper arms really modernise it. Its crying out for an FMIC though :P I really like the way Cupras sit with an FMIC behind the grill, they seem to pop out more than they do on the R's:

I fitted a water/meth injection kit to that over the weekend. To be honing around on full boost, in the weather we've been having recently; and for the inlet manifold to be fridge-cold to the touch, is pretty bloody impressive in my eyes! I will 100% be fitting a kit In the very near future.

Cheers dude. Teardrop mirrors at some point should keep it looking a little less dated too, though that'll have to wait a while now so that my bank account can recover from the utter beasting it's received recently!

If (read: when) I get around to fitting a FMIC I'd like to keep it as hidden away as possible really. Black and hidden pipework whilst keeping the fogs etc in tact for full stealth steez.

From the few posts that went up on the Facebook groups after Inters it seems that WMI really gave people the edge - not necessarily boosting power massively but certainly far more consistent in the heat whilst those without it were suffering a tad (Y)

Hopefully this won't be lost in a sea of car porn but, looking for some advice...(bit of copy & paste! :P)

Going to see an A4 1.8T 163bhp Quattro Sport tomorrow.

What should I be looking for when I have a look at it? Also what big repairs, maintenance that needs carried out? Anything I should look for in the logbook?

Spec is:

2003 Audi A4 1.8T 163bhp Quattro Sport Estate
83,000 miles on the clock

It's up for £4,599...but I'll be aiming to get that down a bit! It's from a dealer.

Cheers for any advice!

Not too sure on the general issues that the A4s have (or don't really!) though for the 1.8t engines it's just general stuff. If there are any funny noises investigate, but if it's got a decent history and has been looked after well you'll likely be ok on the most part. Fairly useless post really, sorry!

Again, not 100% clued up on Audi forums, but Audi-Sport.net is a wealth of info so get yourself on there for starters (Y)

Pretty pissed off right now. A boost hose popped off on the way home from work, which wouldn't normally be much of an issue, but when I went to pull over I thought I'd stick 2 wheels on the verge to get out of the way of traffic a bit more, and make it clear to cars approaching from behind that I was indeed stationary. As I pulled in the last little bit, a very loud bang and grinding noise alerted me to the fact that there was no verge, just undergrowth and an 8"+ drop off the side of the road. So rather than needing a screw-driver I needed towing out of the side of the road, gouging the crap out of the inside-sidewall of my front tyre and dragging my floorpan along the road.

I'll be investigating to see if it's done any actual damage tomorrow at work, but I'm seriously tempted to get in touch with the council about any repair bills if there are any, it's a major A-road and having a completely hidden massive hole at the side of it's stupidly dangerous, I could have easily pulled over as far as I did to get past a wide vehicle coming the other way, in which case I wouldn't have been doing walking pace and things would have been a whole lot more messy. The drop was clearly the result of them chucking new layers of tarmac on top of the old.

Yeh got gap insurance thankfully. Wil find out tomorow if car is salvageable but it was in a right state crashed into a stopped car going about 30 whole front end caved in. my passenger and driver doors were struggling to open. I shunted the person in front into another car as well. No air bags came out and everyone was ok which is the main thing but was gutted to see my car in such a mess.

No pictures am afraid but a hefty 750 excess is needed to be paid.

Also no claims was reduced to 2 years not sure why as they weren't protected?

Thanks for the kind words chaps.

Inters was fun, had a good few cracks at the strip, I'm useless at it, as is my stupid wrong wheel drive car, so a best time of 13.7 @110 was posted. I ran a 14.01 at 112.9 too, which from the terminals shows the car has power, but times are poor due to a truly terrible launch.

Still, was enjoyable, and met loads of people. Saw Dan's car parked up looking ultra smart and clean, Somhow missed your audi though Rich :(

Wing is an experiment, some people may remember a slight 'incident' exactly 1 year ago today in which the back end went a little light.

i've never been happy with high speed stability since, so decided to try and address it. I'm under no illusion the wing looks good, or that it's even highely effective, but it's something to test and mess about with, and is only the start of a rather extensive plan.

Got some new bushes on the front so there's much less play in the steering now.

Also took the throttle body off for a quick clean, which turned into a long clean for obvious reasons!

I know it's bad to overfill an engine with oil, but is 5mm over the "max" on the dipstick likely to cause me any issues?

It'll do something... It'll definitely increase drag and it looks like it's got a bit of camber to it so it will reduce rear lift a bit but then you knew that already :P.

Anybody who was interested in the VAG-COM cracked program, I have just uploaded it to my Dropbox. I must be honest, I have no idea how to use Dropbox, so I may well have done it wrong. It seems I need to add people to be able to share the files, so hit me up with email addresses or Facebook profiles if you want it. To anybody that uses it, PLEASE follow the instructions carefully, or it won't work!

I've already added Rainbird and Paul...anybody else who wants the link, get in touch!
