Tom Booth
I gathered it was a petrol when we mentioned coil packs . I thought it might be worth noting that the derv stuff is renowned for a shity idle. Does it come and go Paul? Mine does it for a few days then just fades away for a few weeks. CurtisRider
Nah it happens every time once the car is warm, not sure if heat gives any clues at all?
Jolfa
Jacquard trim S2 coupe seats; very rare. My old 80 Avant had the same seats but in a 5 door avant version, they look lovely. The Jacquard trim is common as muck, the Recaro version is rare as hens teeth!
george_seamons
Ive got a cracked version of vagcom, with a proper batch file to keep it thinking its genuine. Whether it will work on a mk5 or not I don't know.

RobinJI
May have to jump in on the action there too, give me a reason to finally bother wiring in my OBD port! haha. Got a few plans for the Scirocco over the next few weeks. Mostly related to getting it handling better and sitting a bit lower by making some things. Not going to explain until it's done though, as going by my previous plans, this may never happen
CurtisRider
Just scored £200 of new panels for the T25 for £80 Just the rear aches to get now and I have all I need to sort the outside out. Got some BMW E36/ Saab 9000 seats to go in upfront, a steel sofa bed to cut down to fit in the back (rock and roll style) and some left over tubing from a roll cage to make a rear bar like on this: Now to find something like some Weller steels for it
Pashley26
The Jacquard trim is common as muck, the Recaro version is rare as hens teeth! Yep. Mine were immense, they had the two button electric lumbar support but were otherwise manual adjustment. I don't think I have seen a set for sale for years. Mk3 seats will fit won't they? With a little cut and weld of the runner arms?
george_seamons
Will try and get vagcom on drop box later on, although Ive not done it before! Out off-roading today, so wont be a while Im afraid. Will write some instructions for it too, because you have to be pretty exact in where you install things, so the batch file works correctly. AdamR28
Paul, could be coil packs. My Octavia (2L petrol) had a similar thing which was helped by them being swapped under warranty / recall.
Pashley26
I just got given the keys to this. Supercharged S1 Elise, with remote Sachs coilovers and a Janspeed exhaust. My car is so slow

Pashley26
I'll copy and paste this from ASN, hope it doesn't upset too many people. - Spamming my way back up to the first page with some pictures. It rained today, and I realised you can't see how bad the bodywork is when it's wet. Win. I also had a play with this - I really really love my chrome grill surround. Not long until I can realise my next stage of superboost. Quite excited really, pay day in 9 days time Edited June 16, 2013 by Pashley26
CurtisRider
Cheers Adam, I'll see if there was a recall for these Should VAG Com be able to pick up on faulty coil packs? Just collected some panels for the Doka, well excited to get started on it!
Boumsong
A few interesting cars parked in town today; This one had a big block chevy worked to around 9.3L, the owner claimed a 0 - 60 of 2.5s! All snapped on a Nexus 4. I was there mostly to look at paintwork as I'd heard there where a few custom jobs. At a distance more where stunning but upclose I was a little disappointed. Was a decent way to spend a sunday anyway. It also got me thinking about metal flake lacquering the Scirocco when its finished..

forteh
A shorter video from me... Curborough is TIGHT, really can't get the car opened up, but fun anyway: Curborough is three miles from my house Was also the first place I rode a motorbike solo, I was at a sprint meeting for the Vincent owners club and my grandad put my on his veteran Douglas (circa 1920), told me which lever made it go faster and pushed me off down the paddock lane. I couldn't reach the floor, couldn't operate the brakes and it was a packed meeting. Decided it would be bad to go out onto the track so bounced it through a ditch and up the grass behind everyones pits, I managed to slow down enough for my dad to catch me and the bike upright as I came back to our pit. My mum gave her dad a bit of a bollocking and he also got into a spot of trouble with the organisers - I was about 6 Edited June 16, 2013 by forteh
