Tom Booth
If the meet happens after Easter time, my family have two static caravans on a lake I can always ask if we can use for the weekend. Also has water skiing if anyone fancys that! Gold mine. I recon we should aim or at least 6weeks + for a date, I've got a load of stuff on at the minute so It gives folks time to plan/get time off etc.
MadManMike
For me, April and June are out of the question due to weddings I have booked. May might be a good shout?
george_seamons
May sounds pretty good to me. I don't normally plan that far ahead though, so should be able to manage anything with a couple weeks notice.
Tom Booth
May should also be good for weather (hopefully...)
CurtisRider
I would definately need to know at least 2 weeks in advance, my weekends seemt to get consumed far too easily!
RobinJI
May's good for me too, although I'll have to check which weekend, I tend to have at least 2 busy each month. Shall we start a thread about the meet to save this thread from 2 months worth of random discussion of plans?

Dan6061
Attacked my interior trim with some fake suede and spray adhesive! Bit rough in places, but for a first attempt I'm quite happy! Took ages as I had to remove the door cards, glovebox, and trim under the steering column to rescue all the stupid clips that hold the trim on! f**king hate clips. Jolfa
There's no polite way to say it, that looks dreadful, sorry!
N.Wood
Might touch up a little on the edges with black marker so the white isn't so prominant?
Dan6061
Yeah it still needs some fine adjustments! Not too sure on the centre console, went a bit mad as I had so much fabric! Can easily remove it as it's got masking tape underneath.
crashbanggg
I've been given the door cards from a Mk2 Golf GTI from uni's rally project car and as I don't have a Golf, they're not much use. Anyone on here fancy them? / Would they be worth anything on eBay?
Pashley26
99.99% certain they aren't GTI door cards. I think they are Driver door cards. GTI door cards of that design had a central red stripe rather than grey. Edited March 22, 2013 by Pashley26
crashbanggg
Ah right, I was just going off what my mate had said in which case, anyone want any driver door cards?

They did a few GTI interiors Anyway, they look to be 5 door cards, probably fetch £10-20 on eBay if you've only got the 2 Just to make my loser levels of VW knowledge even slightly interesting, not everyone will have seen the Fire & Ice edition interior - Edited March 22, 2013 by Jolfa

george_seamons
Oh jesus christ...not ANOTHER one!!! Congratulations on losing traction on a wet road. My works van does that with the traction control off.
LiamWood!
Why is your eml on? Something broken?
george_seamons
No VVT tensioner when there should be.
LiamWood!
No VVT tensioner? Isn't that an important part? That's like me unplugging my vtec solinoid and expecting my vtec to work.
Dan6061
Made it a bit better! Might re-do the bit around the gear gaitor as it looks a bit loose at the front!
Pashley26
No, its not. Seamons is being a dick, as usual. My cas has a very basic VVT unit to aid in cold starting, otherwise it is totally redundant. Early 1.8t's didn't have this feature, I just need to have the deletion mapped in. Seeing as my car is healthy and as it should be there is no need for it. The EML is telling me that the cam top position has not been met; if it was an issue it would be in limp mode. Obviously. george_seamons
Do you not think the two are related?! Its got an eml because its expecting it to be there and its not. Not being a dick, just answering the question. You're just jealous that my van can wheelspin too
