Pashley26
I win, unlucky Prawn. VCDS logged 192.2 and Torque logged 191.2g/s. Which makes +/- 240bhp. Very very happy with that, not that I know the car is 100% I am going to book my mapping session with Niki for stage 2. With meth if I can get 250bhp I will be over the moon, 250bhp K03s has been my goal for a couple of years now and I think I am nearly there. win, unlucky Prawn. george_seamons
Chasing numbers is not a cool thing to do, you just end up being a douche in the pub bragging that your car has x amount of horse power. As you WELL no, that's not the be all and end all! I've got no problem with you cleaning it and fiddling and shit, hell, I'm usually doing something with mine at least once a weekend! Its just the hundred million pictures of exactly the same thing that gets a tad tedious, lol!

Luke Rainbird
On which note, massive thanks to Jardo for lending a bit of time/knowhow just now and plugging my car into his VAGCOM setup. Stoked to see not a single fault code come up. Awesome! Not got a daylight pic yet as I've been too busy dying of manflu, so this'll have to do you for now: Specced to the eyeballs and an absolute winner at considerably less than most worse examples are going for. SO much car for the money
Pashley26
It's so so so so so so so so so so so so so nice. I'm free tomorrow now; if you cannot wait and want to spend a couple of hours pimping it.
Luke Rainbird
I'm supposed to be working, unless this bloody manflu decides otherwise. Will see how well a sickie goes down
Pashley26
IF you can pull a sickie then yes, 100% come round and we'll drink many cups of tea. The weather is going to be great tomorrow too, cold but clear all day.
Greetings
Ha, this might be my next car http://otomoto.pl/da...-C27080884.html Sounds like it could be a better alternative to the Justy, much longer wheelbase and a lot more power. Plus the name. Dai Hat Su. I want a Daihatsu in my life. Called the guy, car sounds ok, if all goes well we might buy it Monday/Tuesday. In all fairness, it's cheaper than a set of winter tyres for the M3. Plus it's going to be a LOT faster in these conditions. Luke Rainbird
So yeah, this happened: Car is unbelievably clean and has evidently been really well looked after. Came with a full history and a tonne of receipts which show there's been no expense spared at any point and is an utter winner as was the seller - a true gent and an all-round hero. Mega happy with it, really don't think I could have got much more for the money at all, especially considering the spec is right up there too Jardo being the unlikely hero he is lent a hand with giving it a good once over before the bad weather properly sets in for winter, so no doubt he'll throw up a few more pictures in a bit.

Prawny Baby
looks insanely clean Luke, and really silly money too, prices have fallen even further this year it's just madness!
Luke Rainbird
It's from the pre/post facelift crossover phase, where they seemed to play around with specs, so this one's got full electric heated memory leathers, 6CD changer, full winter pack (headlight washers etc), electric folding mirrors, fogs etc
Pashley26
Yeah, what a truly smart car it is. I'm over the moon for you mate, it's such perfect base to start from it seems a shame to do anything to it! It honestly looked great when we were rolling along, looked much more up to date than my A3 My mate Joe came round with his Golf, and Rainbird with the Leon and we gave the two a good pimp up. Luke's missus came along for the shoot - I cleaned Lou's 500 this morning too, so might as well have a cheeky picture of that - And a couple more of Lukes Leon - There's been a bit of ongoing rivalry between Joe (Mk5 GTI) and I about who's car is quicker. His was recently mapped by Niki at 252bhp, and he's been saying his is quicker than mine for ages. And to be honest I was a bit worried, his is fast as f**k. We had a good old play on the way up to the Moors and on the way back. Mines much faster, he's already ordered an S3 intercooler since we left the Moors and an R Tech CAI induction kit haha.
Duncy H
I'm back asking for car choice advice again. Van insurance/cost to run just seems too much. The transit connect I was going to be given wont happen til mid next year at least so that's off the cards. Car criteria necessary.. -cheap ish to insure at my age (19) 2 years Ncb -be a bit different, or something I could make a bit different -ideally be able to somehow transport my moto trials bike. I.e be suitable for using a towbar with. -cost about £1000 to £1500, (lower the better) I'm stuck for ideas really. Been looking at 6n2 polos but not sure about them transporting my motorbike. Also lookin at e36 coupes but insurance ain't nice. I know I've asked it before but any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Skoze
5th time it's snapped the strap - any suggestions that might get me out of this cruel cycle?
CurtisRider
What do you consider cheapish for insurance? E36 or B5 A4 sound ideal (had both, and really liked them), both can be had dirty cheap if you hunt about and that may make up for the higher insurance. Neither are different as such though, but then if it's a short term car then does it really matter hugely? Older Saab 93s and 95s are filthy cheap since Saab died and so you get rather alot for your money, might be worth a look although I don't know a great deal about those as I have never had one, avoid the 9-3ss with your budget as parts are pricey and reliability isn't great. My insurance is pretty low with my 9-3ss (£580 with myself, my girlfriend and my parents on it) so you may be suprised with qoutes you get as they are such grandad cars Landy exhaust needs another hanger along its length, even though its just a tube and no box it will still wobble about loads! Do you take it offroad? If so does it catch?
Mark W
Classic insurance renewal shit. Despite having yet another years NCB and no change in my personal circumstances they want 20% more than last year (having that year wanted 10% more than the year prior to that...). Had a quick look around online and the first results I got were half that. f**k you, Endsleigh!
Duncy H
I don't mean so much different, just something that isn't your generic small box that all people at 17 get like saxos or corsas. E36 coupes class to me as "somethin different from the norm." As for insurance costs. Don't really want to be paying much over 1400. Which should be enough to delve into. Luke Rainbird
He meant "classic" as in "typical" rather than a classic policy If it's cheaper elsewhere then great, but get on the phone too dude, save a few more pennies
