JD™
Anyone (probably looking mainly at you @Adam@TartyBikes) got any recommendations on books/resources about suspension and race setup and the like? I fancy using any time off I get over the festive break to learn some completely useless (to me, at the moment) theory.
dann2707
Just received some anti roll bar poly bushes. Black series, the car is nearly 100% polybushed or solid mounted. I'm so happy and it drives really well.
dann2707
And picked up 4 * Michelin pilot sport 3s with average of 6.5mm tread on them for £100 so they are my tyres I'm going to use for track and the road like I did with my old wheels. AdamR28
Good stuff, from Dave? Sorry I've not had chance to get wheel photos yet... JD, try Tune to Win by Carroll Smith. I hadn't read a book for years until I read that 3 times on the trot a few xmases ago.
Pete.M
^ This. It might be from 1978 but no less relevant today.

AdamR28
Don't worry if it makes no sense first time... So many new terms for me, so only started to sink in second time round, then (mostly) understood 3rd time. Seems to be one of the last books before aero started getting big, so it's almost perfect for the sorts of cars we might play with.
David
Thinking of treating the LC to a professional alloy wheel refurb (powder coated). The question is, should I keep them a standard silver or something else?

AdamR28
Probably the most fun track day I've ever done: How do you get this shit to embed? grrr!
TrialsIsHard
Looks like an awesome day out Adam, did you get through much rubber? Surprising how eager that thing is to wheelspin even in a straight line uphill at one point, around the 1:40 mark I think.
AdamR28
Certainly was! None at all really, track wasn't dry at any point, winneerrrr. Yeah, only has about 85bhp at the rear wheels, but with the open diff it was spinning all the way through 3rd if you kept your foot in, haha. Need to get an LSD sorted for more drifting action... JD™
Is Rockingham super slippery as a track in general? Looks like those other cars were really struggling while you were both going at the same speeds sideways... What great fun that must've been! AdamR28
It's pretty grippy in the dry, but fairly abrasive. I think the tarmac is a funny type that polishes up a lot more than normal, hence the lack of wet grip. Haha, yeah, there were a few times we went past people on opposite lock, but all the videos from the morning (which were mostly the best ones) didn't have any sound
dann2707
Looks like quite a boring track normally is it?
