Wrayvon
2004 Kia Rios had DRLs? Are they aftermarket ones? Sounds like dodgy wiring!
Pete.M
Bad grounds can be a common culprit for stuff like this. I know later Kia's have a Body Control Module which can go wrong, not sure about yours.

JT!
So what steps should be taken to try and fix this?

bing
Finally got to Texas, so wanted to hire a mustang or a challenger but I'm not caning 469 dollars on it for a week. The challenger looked mean as f**k Edited June 13, 2015 by bing

Pashley26
Bled the brakes like a pro. Went for a drive. Discovered that in a straight line at least the Golf is inseparable from Prawn's A3. Further investigation required. Car feels lovely, brakes are working well, power is good, suspension feels as good as you'd expect it to, no knocks, no bangs, no rattles. Can't complain really. Took this apart. Got a bit strippy strippy. I've got to collect some carbon door cards off Jamie as previously mentioned. Need to buy some bolts for the bollock straps. Need to relocate the snaphook eye for one of the harness mount points. But apart from that, it's good enough for agriculture and it's not boring.

Pashley26
I didn't. That was this afternoons work. Mk2's are so unbelievably easy to work on, it's great.

Luke Rainbird
Epic! Ads - I'm assuming that "Mandys Parts to Go" in Preston isn't your secret alias? A colleague fancies building up a cheap car for a bit of fun and has spotted this which he's tempted by as a start point: In realistic terms, what sort of work/money is required to bring an MX5 up to semi-reasonable entry level for occasional track use whilst ideally keeping it road legal? Assuming it'd require suspension, exhaust, cage/roll bar and some suspension mods as a minimum but really I have no idea - couple of grand plus the base vehicle? Any vague info much appreciated to pass on!
AdamR28
Haha, no its not me! You can get a fully working car in decent nick for under a grand, chuck decent oil in it, change the brake fluid and take it on track. It will run all day like that and be amazing fun. Genuinely don't need to spend anything on it, the one I took to Curborough was completely standard! Bits like a roll bar and suspension aren't a bad shout if it will go on track fairly regularly though. I actually have a roll bar for sale and possibly some shocks soon, lol. That one could be OK or could be a basket case depending on rust, don't mind taking a look if its not too far away (PR3 isn't really Preston IIRC). Have an exhaust and some door cards going spare if needed
Luke Rainbird
Shall pass the info along, cheers dude. Shall tell him to do a little more reading whilst I do the same and see if I can help him track something down a little closer to base. Sounds like pretty minimal outlay on top of the car itself in order to have some fun so spending a tad more on something solid won't hurt. Vaguely related news: Bessell's said you have his TFTD2 funds so will grab those off you along with your own down the line. Won't hound you in the same way I will the rest of the bunch though

MadManMike
Car is back on the road Drove it to work this morning, all feels OK apart from a few little knocks, which I think is probably just psychological - I'm trying to find problems. Two of my wheels are refurbed and on the car, gotta do the other two this week, before Friday as we have guests staying and the spare room is currently a spray booth haha

Luke Rainbird
Without, but having consumed an excessive quantity of Pedigree Chum it now rolls faster than it's little legs ever carried it anyway.
