Prawny Baby
Properly happy for you Alex! Is the engine still reasonably stock? so around 320bhp or there abouts? or it it modified much? I don't remember. I know that a good healthy evo really does fly though, power right to 8k is addictive! Lets talk aftermarket steering wheels. I want one, because racecar. It needs to have a horn button because I cant't be arsed faffing with a new wiper stalk for the Clio. Needs to fit an OMP Boss (6 screw pattern) Would like it to between 320mm and 340mm wide Shallow to no dish. What are you using? OMP Targa 330 for me, meets all the above requirements Ignore the silly sticker, it was a piss take
george_seamons
My car mapping is now complete. It made 346bhp and 324ftlbs. Headline figures were a few bhp lower (made 348/328 last time), but midrange is faaaaaar better (gained 50ftlbs in places). It's totally different to drive now. It's just power, power, POOOWWWWWEEEERRRRRR!!! So much so, that on a country road in 4th, I dropped down for an overtake (even though you don't really need to drop down a gear, I just like the pull!), and the torque steer in 3rd genuinely nearly pulled me into a ditch!!! So much area under the graph, it's awesome!

Luke Rainbird
Monster! Good figures there man, I'm looking forward to getting something a bit more meaty next year If your entire car wasn't less straight than Louis Walsh it'd be particularly convenient
Prawny Baby
Top figures there Georgos. Torque curve looks particularly good. Quite different to how mine was. Must be very nice on the road What are you other map options like?
AdamR28
That's a reet lazy man's torque curve Must be awesome on the road!
george_seamons
I have 5 switchable maps (selected by tapping the brake and accelerator simultaneously, which then flashes the EML the number of times the map is...so 1 flash is map 1, 5 flashes map 5). Each map is 20% N75 duty cycle, so: Map 1 = 100% Map 2 = 80% Map 3 = 60% Map 4 = 40% Map 5 = 20% I then have my N75 isolator switch by the dash, which obviously gives 0% duty cycle, and effectively another map...so 6 switchable maps in essence. Not got any power data or graphs from the various maps...but there is s noticable difference between the 6...although even with the N75 switch off, it's still bloody potent! Not really had a chance to really push it on the road, it's was pouring with rain all day...which led to wheelspin in 5th...bit scarey on a motorway!!! Prawny Baby
what happens when you do a bit of heel n toe or left foot braking dude? Does it switch maps by mistake? or is it linked to the speed sensor to only work when stationary somehow?
george_seamons
Its quite tricky to get it to change maps, you have to blip both pedals at EXACTLY the same time, for a split second for it to change. I've tried to simulate being in the situation you describe, but it won't change...which is a good job, because that would suck haha. You can change maps on the move...but it's very annoying for the people behind, especially if you are in map 2, and want to be in map 1 (you have to cycle through 2, 3, 4, 5, then 1)
Pashley26
Surely your LCR cuts the power when you left foot brake anyway?
