My drop links will be fine. It's a problem which clearly doesn't exist, I might even disconnect the front roll bar entirely.

What are you doing tonight Rainbird? Fancy going to Wetherspoons for a burger? I'm bored as f**k.

I'm going into town tomorrow morning and need to go into work at 4 so I could always stop by on my way back from work?

I'm going to shorten the center section tomorrow as well, it's loosened up and the exhaust is actually wonky now.

No can do tonight I'm afraid, just got back from a few days working in Bristol and have already eaten twice this eve :P

Tomorrow could be an option though - I'm working through the day but will probably bail a tad early at 3ish or so - let me know what you're up to and we'll make things happen.

Warning: May rack your brains on a few Golf-related issues while I have you captive :P

In related news: Hoping to have a crack at ARB and dogbone bush this weekend if I get the chance, though I'll probably spend more time on Soph's to tidy it up a little instead.

One of my side lights has gone bang, so I'm looking to buy a couple of new ones.

Can anyone suggest a decent pair, that don't cost too much?

I've seen expensive and I've seen blatant shit - looking for something in between. Are LED ones legal / any good?

I've been using these lately

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-5-SMD-LED-Xenon-White-LED-501-T10-W5W-Interior-Light-bulbs-SUPER-BRIGHT-/330908390293?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d0bad5395

Been great, took them out recently to check and all the LEDS are still functioning (found others tend to slowly blow all the LEDS). For the price I am certainly not grumbling, certainly very visible on thier own

EDIT: George is right, LEDS only really suit HIDS, my parents had these in their car and they looked reasonably white without looking out of place with thier halogen dips

Lasted 2 years, now they have LEDS (same as the ones i have) and HIDS

Not unless you're going to get projector lenses, no. HID's in standard Leon lights are a big no no. The lights aren't designed for the type of light the HID bulb gives out, and as such, you end up with a totally retarded beam pattern.

I fitted retrofit bi-xenon projectors to mine (they were about £30 shipped from Hong Kong from memory). ALWAYS get comments about how good they look, and how much light they give out. They are probably my favourite mod I have done to the car (and as far as I know, I am the only person in the UK to have fitted this type of lense to a Leon). To non-petrolheads, they look factory enough to be standard, but to people in the know, they look good enough to question what they are! :D

That's the exact kit I got. It was £62...not £30, my bad. WELL worth that though. Bi-xenons are incredible!

You can get several different lenses though, as you already have projectors, it will probably be cheaper for you to buy just a lense. There are several different types though, so kinda depends how yours mount.

Forgive my ignorance, but are they always the same size? Would be pretty cool to have projectors.

I couldn't really answer that. I just put it in, and it works, haha. Think the retrofit ones are a fairly standard size across the range though. All the bezels seem to be 2.5"...so the actual glass must be the same size.

With regards to the ARB question...tt or lcr is what you want. R32 will fit physically, but is 23mm instead of 19mm, so will upset the balance unless a rear bar is added too. Whiteline also make a bar that goes under the driveshafts.

Haha so you didn't actually measure your lights before? Sounds either incredibly lucky or handy :)

Eibach bars are still the hooped design, so with enough of a drop they could still rub. You don't really want to go any bigger on the front (unless you add a rear bar too), because it will just make it more understeery. LCR bars can be had for about £40...how much is the Eibach one?
