MadManMike
There's a s2000 on alphards somewhere on the net that's f**king stunning
Revolver
Eh, that's a bit too low for that kind of car, to me.
MadManMike
Yeah I think so too. A guy on my Facebook owns this: Again I think it's too low, but it looks nice. He sold that to buy a DC2 anyway.
Revolver
That's a bit nicer. It's a sports car, it's should be able to go round corners!
Tom Booth
It's not the one I was thinking of but it's close enough, they suit them sooo well!! I'd love some alphards, but they fetch stupid money and 19" tyre costs are a joke over 18"s.
MadManMike
Yeah I'm not surprised they go for loads, they're amazing wheels. I bet a full set is more than my whole car is worth lol.
AdamR28
Got a little bit of sick in my mouth cos of the last page with all the cars balanced on their sumps and those terrible 5 spoke wheels (Slightly in jest But not really.) Tom Booth
We've no need for speed. Not when you look this 'box fresh'. A friend of mine had a polo 6n2 on air ride, came to show me when it was done and dumped all the air out so it was on the deck. Wouldn't start after as he'd crimped all the fuel lines on my driveway

Jolfa
Hah thats doing it properly, Mr Alfa alphards wants £1000 for them with tyres! Alternatively buy one of the cheaper sets (including those very ones by the looks of things) on eBay right now

Prawny Baby
Nice to see the place brightening up again Not a fan of those alphards, never have been, but I'm not into bling wheels really, I like light ones. Can definitely see the appeal of the BDSM or whatever you lot call them though Went to Abingdon yesterday for an open pitlane trackday: Car was great, although this happened: And some legendary people I met just yesterday opened their workshop for me to do this last night: www.stonerracing.co.uk Also got a few funny looks and flashes driving home, before it dawned on me: Top day!
Prawny Baby
Little bit of in car footage from yesterday, first few laps are warming up the tyres, then towards the end just as I was catching up with the mk2 golf VAG Trophy car I started to get brake fade so couldn't play for as long as I wanted to! Still, cracking fun, and from the in car I think it looks a lot less dull to drive than that Megane Alex posted up but that's probably because I'm shit
AdamR28
Doesn't look too bad for an airfield! Although I kept getting 'lost' due to the lack of features. See you tomorrow!
AndrewEH1
I had heard very good things about Stoner Racing, especially if you need a new roll cage fitted apparently!
AdamR28
More pictures!Used to be my daily, now SORNed and will be used on track and drift days. Sidelight removed to help 'flush' the engine bay of hot air. Bonnet pins becauseracecar. Rear window held in with bent bits of spoke (zip broke and the press studs I fitted are shit and undo themselves when you get above about 80mph).Bigger brakes from the 1.8 model, some sort of Koni coilovers, buckets, harnesses, roll bar, T1Rs for when its wet / cold. The rest standard. Bust steering lock (forgot the key one track day so had to break it), radio ripped out, carpets etc pulled out, modified pedals. Datalogger on the dash and GoPro in the seat are worth more than the car Easiest engine ever to work on Standard apart from the air filter which only really increases noise and a bit of throttle response. AC and PAS removed (29kg saved!).And my latest project - covering my trailer. Was a bit of a ball-ache but will be so much better when it's wet.
MadManMike
That 5 looks like fun, considering one as my next car as they're quite cheap for what you get. There's one on eBay at the moment, lowered with wide wheels that looks sweet.
AdamR28
First half of your post good, second half bad The reason they handle so well is that Mazda made everything balanced from the factory, once you fit stupid wheels and drop them to the floor they don't handle as well. I have a completely standard one as a daily driver and it's such a brilliant car, not practical at all but its easy to work on, spares are cheap, cheap insurance and so much fun. Very reliable mechanically but obviously rust can be an issue... Literally every drive should includes t least one sideways moment by the way! CurtisRider
What are you dragging the trailer with Adam? Mx5s do look tempting, shame I don't have the spare pennies yet!
King C
That's not helping my urge for an MX5.

I didn't mean "UBER LOWS STANCE 111!!!" kinda low, I just mean slightly lower and wider than standard wheels. Definitely considering one next, though there's a few cars in the running for that title
Pashley26
A good friend of mine in work has just bought an MX5 track car, has said I can used it for airfield days and shit whenever I want. I'll get some pics up on Monday
