The Car Thread

I bought a super cheap one, for around £12 are they on amazon? Picks my car up perfectly along with the Torque App on my droid however I couldn't read codes as my car isn't OBD2 compatible as it's older than 2004 when they introduced it for the diesel focus.

As far as I can tell the cheaper ones are all pretty much identical in terms of quality.

I love doing data logs.

Did a data log today and got my highest peak airflow ever, 186g/s. Which translates to 232bhp.

If it made 232bhp on a set of rollers (which is probably,g/s logs are proven to be accurate) it could potentially be one the most powerful stage 1 1.8t's out there.

It's certainly as quick as my old one was with stage 2.

I'm happy :)

That's with a maximum air intake temp of 36*, I can only imagine what it would be like with WMI bringing that down as well as the octane boost. Whoop whoop for cold weather.

Has anyone on here owned a Subaru Justy 4wd? Any known weak spots or other things to pay attention to?

My girlfriend had one (the Suzuki Swift shape one) and as above, it was loads of fun in the snow (although part-time AWD is bloody weird!) and overall, despite being a thief magnet ( ) was a good little car.

I think my favourite bit about it, was that the only reason she bought it was because it was a Subaru, which she found incredibly amusing, so we did this to it

Because I enjoy it :)

I like having a nice car and I like something which is quite fast. But I don't think it is safe to drive fast on the roads, when this car is up to the spec I want I will track it and use it for long GT style trips if funds allow. But I don't have any desire to take my car out and drive it fast for fun; I have driven cars unbelievably quick on the road and still live to tell the tale luckily, but one small thing which is out of your control could ruin it all.

Who am I kidding, I love hooning the tits out of my car. But my limits of what I class as responsible are getting lower and lower as I get older. A quick boot full for a few seconds on an A road is more than enough for me to start worrying these days haha

What could happen far outweighs the feeling of having a good hoon now so I just don't do it.

Fair enough, I didn't know if you were going to track it or not. I'm much the same as you 'cept I have two cars, one that I'm building for the track and one that gets me to work so I'm pretty lucky in that respect. I wouldn't have seen the point if you were doing all this and then not planning on using it properly.
