I'm not usually in the business of arguing on Jardos behalf, but I just had to check with the ol' colour checker... It's not quite true black :P

Talking of black, and at the danger of taking this away from The Jardo Show, where's the cheapest place to get rubber? I need 245/35/19 for my spare wheel. Will it end up being just as cheap to chuck it into the local tyre place?

I'm gonna wander in as a Web Designer and state that generally speaking, in my little world, anything darker than #111111 is considered "black" and anything lighter is "dark grey".

That shit is black. Maybe not 100% black but it's in the area on the spectrum known as "black".

Anyway, KO3S is smaller than KO4S right? Bigger is always better.

I'm with JD on this, I'm actually interested in VAG 1.8t engine's, and I still don't give a toss!

Anyway, I went down to my dads house earlier and moved all the crap off my Scirocco after it's been sat in an old barn for over a year now :( Luckily it's all looking good, and seeing it again reminded me just how much I like their shape/styling, really keen to get it back on the road ASAP now. Plus after discussing things with my dad it sounds like he's happy enough to tow it up to the workshop where I'll be doing it.

I grabbed some pictures of it emerging, it was buried in bikes when I first opened the barn up, there was 7 of them lent up all around it! That's just my dad and step-mums 'spare' bikes, there's another 6 regularly used ones in the garage, not cheep crap bikes either, the 'spares' included a spec'd up stump-jumper and a top of the range Dahon folder!

The down side of leaving it in a 300 year old barn with open rafters, the thing's covered in bat-shit and the wings of moths they've been eating in the rafters!

Still, besides needing a damn good clean it looks exactly the same as the day I dropped it off, should get through an MOT fine once a new engine's in there and the hand-brake lever's sorted (I ripped it off the floor doing auto-testing last summer :$ )

Jardo, fancy doing one hell of a detail? :giggle:

In other news, fitted the new engine mounts on the Passat yesterday, easy enough job and my god it's made a difference! Much quieter on the motorway now, no engine noise getting into the cabin at all even up into 3 figures and it no-longer vibrates on idle like it used to, plus as you'd expect the jolting when you let off/power back on has gone away.
