Duncy H
Rightio a lad has given me this to fix for him.... He said he thinks it is a banshee or something? I'm not clued up on the mountain bike scene so don't know too much. Basically the bushes/bearings in the frame are rather past it and flexing. Where can i get replacement ones or is there a guide anywhere for what to do? Cheers Duncano Mexicano
Miles Mallinson
Its a Santa Cruz VP Free, it could just be the bushings in the shock though so check that first. Tomm
It's slightly concerning that he doesn't know he owns a Santa Cruz.
JD™
Reeks of 'stolen' to me. Not that your mate stole it, but that it's a previously stolen bike. To not know that's a Santa Cruz is proper suspect - but good for your mate if he bought it innocently.
Tomm
No it's not good. Innocently buying a stolen bike / turning a blind eye to the fact it might be stolen / riding a knowingly stolen bike. It's all the same - it's still a stolen bike. By riding it you're putting money in the hands of the tossers that steal the bikes we treasure. People who ride stolen bikes are wankers, even if they paid for them.
Duncy H
It is rather strange to think that he doesn't know what it is. He's only about 13 and is very innocent. Pretty certain he doesn't know it might be stolen, he's probably just a bit naive. Anyway i've only just got some bearings for it and gunna crack on with it soon.
