Rim Grinding Trouble

Right, every time i try to grind my rim i always get the same result, a rough but very dull rim. I have tried changing the angle and pressure that i am grinding at and also tried using brand new grinding disks but nothing seems to be working. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out on getting a nice medium grind if possible, im running an echo urban rim (rear) just in case anyone wants to know.

Thanks,

Brad.

Try using a Diamond cutting disc. You can get diamond tile cutting disc or stone cutting. stone cutting seems to be sharper, but it has notches in it (still works though) give one of these ago, you can pick them up for £1.75 to £5. and just a gentle skim makes a perfect harsh grind.

if you don't want to buy one i'd say use a brand new metal cutting disc (not grinding disc) and make sure it's sharp.

You are doing it wrong, I have same rim, used the same disc for 3years,

Try using a 60 degree angle with pressing and sweeping motion, thats how i do it and have some of the best ground rims ever!
