Flairs?

I know it's not a trials move, but some trials riders have nailed it, so I'm really tempted to try them.

I have a pretty good flipping base, since I'm a gymnast, so I would like to know what's the best and safer way to try them?

Should I nail backflips first?

Any tips are welcome

Learn flairs.

Do them off trees.

Get that cash money.

EDIT: But for serious, get ready to get friendly with both your rear wheel and a spoke key if you're going to give them a go. When Ali learnt them on the resi at Corby he pretty much annihilated his back wheel from doing it wrong. This also reminds me that somewhere I've got some footage of Ali landing a flair at Corby, might have to put that in Clean 002 as the obligatory "token flip" you need for street videos these days ;)

Basically if you learn them into a foam pit - you're a pussy, if you learn them onto a resi - you're a pussy.

Go to your local concrete park, boot it at a nice quarter, pull back, twist, land, get bitches.

I'm considering learning it in a dirt quarter

My first measure will be to use an old, heavy and bombprof wheels that I have.

I would be very pleased to watch the clips of Ali C learning it

I would say get your backflips pretty dialled first and wear a lot of padding

I will try to find a foam pit to practice backflips, for me they look much scarrier than flairs. In my opinion is much easier to faceplant or fall in your head in backflips
