Matt Vandart
I have a hope pro 2 evo front hub with qr stubs in it, it keeps coming loose and the wheel wobbles. anyone else have this probrem? any idea what to do?
Mikee
The qr end caps have rubber o-rings that hold them in. Are they damaged or missing?
trialsmax04
What skewer are you using? A Hope one?
Matt Vandart
Nah the rubber o rings are fine. I am using a Kcnc titanium jobby
Mikee
Is it the end caps that keep coming loose or the skewer? And is the wheel wobbling from inside the hub or is it wobbling in the dropouts?
dezmtber
ti is more likely stretching. i would never run a ti skewer in trial bike they are more likely to snap than a steel one as the ti will stretch then snap
Matt Vandart
not a trial bike. I put a steel skewer in and its the same. Heavy braking wheel wobbles, need to tighten the qr. weird
forteh
ti is more likely stretching. i would never run a ti skewer in trial bike they are more likely to snap than a steel one as the ti will stretch then snap I've been using titanium bolt through skewers on my triton for years, yeah they might stretch slightly but wont snap. Matt, have you checked that the skewer isn't bottoming out on the axle stubs? I've had it before if the dropouts are a little thin, the skewer caps can bottom on the axle stubs before properly clamping the dropout. I would also have a look to see if the kcnc skewer caps have a flat clamping surface, iirc the hope ones are counter bored in the middle to give clearance for the axle stubs to protrude the dropouts slightly.
