murph82
what's the idea with these? Are they to run a wide rim on a narrow spaced frame or a thin rim, namely a rhyno lite on a 100mm spaced frame?
chimpanzyyyy
to run a wide rim on a narrow spaced frame I think not sure it works the other way around
Greetings
The other way round. They were conceived at a time when many riders still used XC or DH rims like D521's on already modern-ish trials frames which had widely spaced 4bolt mounts. AdamR28
- Patented offset mounting method allows the cylinders to be positioned slightly further out than standard mounts (but not further in - see photos), ideal if your rim is a little too wide for the frame. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/images/custom/large_tensilein.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/images/custom/large_tensileout.jpg

Greetings
http://www.tartybike..._tensileout.jpg Surely that doesn't always work? With some frames it's even a problem to have the piston fully out because the brake pads rest against the frame.
SamKidney
They do work when running them to position them further in. Mate next door had been riding his Echo Lite 09 with an Onza Pro 38mm rear rim for a year using them set inwards and his brake worked fine. I think theyre shit though. Andeee
They are not bad... I use to run them on my old pure 06.5 with running a 47mm try-all rim and found it hard to get a good brake set up until i discovered the tensiles which were perfect. Its for those with either skinny or fat rims who struggle to get a good brake set up. Andy

sstein
shit design though. you need to remove some material from the lip or else your brake moves.
