dann2707
Did he just do a subtle hitler tash?! haha Ace video, didn't realise how much effort went into bike tyres!
Mark W
That's how much effort go into Conti tyres - I don't think there are that many other companies who are really at that level.
Rusevelt
That proto tyre that Danny was holding, should be interesting if it has the 'black chill' compound and stiffer sidewalls than the Maxxis Holly Roller.
Revolver
Indeed, it'd be nice to have a streety tyre that doesn't flop around and let pinches in all the time.
rupintart
Judging by how it looks when folded, probably not. Could be wrong though, it is after all, the internet.

JD™
Still have such a massive thing for Rachel, and I get that there's almost no reason for that...
Ross McArthur
There are a few different side wall thicknesses and compounds as far as I'm aware. Duncan Shaw is sporting a set on his Echo 24 at the moment, doing a spot of testing for Danny while his back recovers. Random geeky fact....I was the first ever person to use them

You can get pretty tough tyres that use a kevlar bead. The sidewalls can be pretty meaty even if it's foldable.

Sam Nichols
More choice for 24" riders can only be a good thing, up until now it's pretty much high roller or the highway. They do look pretty bad ass too.

I know you can still get a pretty beefy tire with a foldable bead, but the sidewalls themselves still look a little thin by how they wave and what not. Again, that's just my perception from the picture. I saw in the latest Stan video he was running them...how are they?
Matt Vandart
schwalbe for example The main difference between conti tyres and schwalbe is that schwalbe tyres suck ass. I really hope this tyre is good, 24" needs a good tyre very badly. being 'black chilli' compound doesn't really denote that it will be mega grippy. As far as I have heard 'Black chili' coumpound is the softest compound of THAT PARTICULAR TYRE. So a 'Black chilli mountain King 2 for example is no where near as grippy as a Der Kaiser which really sucks ass also.
ghostrider88
DK is black chilli and is super grippy...You know there´s few versions of black chilli compound right? But to be honest,I don´t know if danny needs extra grip for street riding and spins,I would say it would make spinny moves harder. Again, that's just my perception from the picture. I saw in the latest Stan video he was running them...how are they? Danny's tyres are 24" only - Stan's running a proto Race King kind of thing. It's got the super soft Der Kaiser compound and is pretty much fully awesome. It's a pity that - much like the Trial Queen - Conti have decided to not bother... The compound on Danny's tyres are softer than Holy Rollers, DMRs, Kendas, etc.
