boozeman
I recently bought an ones zoot and am struggling with the geometry. It feels as though am stood over the front wheel. Is this natural on a 24"? I am for finding it quite difficult to do the simplest of trick because of this. Any ideas on what changes i can make to the bike to make things a bit easier? JD™
Higher front end: Win.
boozeman
So high riser bars and maybe a high rise stem?
JD™
Yea, higher bars, some stackers under the stem if you have the space, and a short but high stem. Any or all of those will help move your riding position back a bit, but something as simple as tilting your current bars back a bit can help to get a feel of the difference. boozeman
Cheers JD will give it a go tonight see what it's like
Revolver
IS this your first trials bike? Trials bikes do sit you quite far forwards compared to other bikes.
boozeman
Yeah it's my first but I feel as though am leaning all my weight on the front wheel all the time. Even though I ty and lean my weight as far back as I can.
Revolver
Is it the standard setup? If you've been riding bmxs or downhill bikes before this that'll make you feel even more over the front. Stick with it for a while, you'll get used to it, although JD's advice is still valid, and will help it ride better when you are used to it. boozeman
I did think that because my dh bike am stood a lot further back. Will tweak with the set up see if I can get it to feel a bit more natural.
