Hi Team,

Round 2 entries here.

It is the Sunday after the last day of the SSDT at Kinlochleven on the way home. Come up watch the last couple of days and have a comp on the Sunday.

hi Kevin, can I enter on the day? I am not familiar with your Scottish system and I want to take a look at the sections to decide which level I am going for.

Hi Felix,

I would prefer that everybody sends an entry in before the event, so I know who is coming. You can change routes on the day after looking at the sections or if after a max of three sections on the day change up or down a class as per the rules. The Scottish is all about a days fun for the riders first and foremost. Kinlochleven is a great venue (when we get the weather!!) lots of big (and small) grippy rocks. Good tyres as there is grass and mud if its wet between them.

The SSDT starts its last day Saturday in Kinlochleven with Lower Mamore group and then up to the famous pipeline section. First riders in around 8.30am so you will need to be up early. They finish at town hall Brae in the middle of Fort William later in the afternoon. We will watch the sections and then go set up/ play in the afternoon and camp somewhere in the area for Sundays comp. Probably go up to the Bill to have a look around as well in the afternoon.

Well!!!! eight!!! riders braved the Kinlochleven weather, and only slightly better than last year. Primary was won by Rory Armstrong, Novice was a hard fought class with Simon Duke third , Cammy Paton Second and Scott Thomson first. Inter was won by Aaron Duke with Callum Cuningham in Second after moving up a class. Our first and only Lady rider won Expert. Tracey Thomson is now joint expert class leader. You got to be there to win. We had five brand new and not to muddy sections in the trees which helped and three sections round where we were last year. It was decided to scrap the three although some of the riders wanted to ride them! and thanks to Lewis for braving the rain to go round and tidy up. Bit dishartened by the lack of entries but it turned out to be a good fun day, although wet and cold, but the riders came prepared better this year, so thanks to all the riders and officials that made the day fun. See you all in a couple of weeks at Cragies Farm shop, near Kirkliston. Enty forms soon.
