williams
YOOO! So i have built my own wheel, and the wheel has one place where it dips (verically) like 1mm. It's not vertically true... But the wheel is true side to side... If that makes sence. When I pump up the tyre to about 2bars the tyre hops of the wheel, and has one time led to explosion. I have tried buying a new Maxxis creepy crawler, to see if a new tyre would help, but no. BUT i have a smaller 20" tube, which might cause any problems? It's a common 20" tube, which isn't for trial... Hope someone could help.. Thanks William

Thanks William sure you havent got a 19" rim. someone literally posted the exact same problem yesterday and turns out they had a 19" rim not a 20". the wheel being un-true wouldnt make the tyre come off, so sounds like your tyring to run a 20" tyre and tube on a 19" rim. So nope, the only problem should in that case be the tube..

Azarathal
How many grinds? When you have a really worn rim it can cause tyres to not seat properly.

Azarathal
Find where it dips and loosen those spokes a little but equally both sides so it stays true.

Azarathal
Mine dips like 5mm in two places so you'll never know until you try it.
Cap
Check that the tyre is not sitting on the rim tape anywhere. If it is, that can cause the tyre not to seat properly. Hope this helps.

In my case I mean downwards (vertical). Check that the tyre is not sitting on the rim tape anywhere. If it is, that can cause the tyre not to seat properly. Hope this helps. Thanks cap, will check that out
