JT!
With a big stroke of luck I've managed to sell my Specialized Rockhopper back at home and am thinking about buying another one because I really liked it. https://shop.sunrisecyclery.com/item/145321 Just posting up to see if there's any other makes and models I should be considering. Normally I'm all over hydraulic discs but I thinking this has avid bb5's so it'll be easy for me to switch them round back to the right-front left-back way. Also, I'm 5'11. Would 19" frame or a 21" frame be better for me?
ZeroMatt
19" would fit better. Do they not have any direct sales brands (e.g. Canyon, Rose, On-One) over there in the US? They are usually the best value full builds outside of discounts/sales.
JT!
I haven't been looking around too much as I'm just waiting for something to show up second hand. $500 doesn't get me too much new.
Matt Vandart
got avid bb7's on my xc bike, they are good except for long steep downhills when you can expect them to stop working.
JT!
BAMF? Never heard of them. http://www.amazon.com/BAMF-Nelson-Mountain-Black-13-5-Inch/dp/B004BGG8FK/ref=sr_1_40?s=cycling&ie=UTF8&qid=1333855097&sr=1-40Hasa? http://www.amazon.com/2012-HASA-Speed-Mountain-ALIVIO/dp/B007AHZ5L0/ref=sr_1_97?s=cycling&ie=UTF8&qid=1333855509&sr=1-97 Problem I'm having is a lot of top name brands don't ship. They have to be bought from a store which means +8% tax.
