onzaskull
I dont have a proper pair of riding shoes and i would like to get some. I dont know where to find any and i dont want to spend the money on ribos. Any suggestions of some grippy shoes? Links would be great also:)
Matthew_Gibson
I got a pair of Ribos off here for about £30 and there bloody lovely, walked round town in them just to get use to them. There SO much griper that skate shoes. Which I use to swear by. Even something like new balance trainers will be good, maybe not the coolest of things but had LOADS of pairs (step dad use to work in the factory) and I use to get "seconds" for like £25, (rrp £90)
dave33
What's your budget ? 5tens are probly the best for all round grip, protection and value for money

dezmtber
i was recommended a set of vans slip on shoes to ride with. seems like a good option. i am getting a pair asap
Miss-Higgy
Van's slippers are well grippy! Hurt if you slip off. I recommend Vans or Etnies
iChimpp
Nike 6.0s. I use them for DH too and my feet always stay on
super
Love my vans slip ons - awesome grip and i love the flex in the sole. If you want a stiffer sole then i reckon five tens are probably the best option.

Rich J
I reckon it depends on your foot position on the pedals and the pedals opposed to the brand of shoe. Anything with deep sole sections, Vans waffle for instance, will stay in one position better but harder to correct. Anything with a stickier or shallower sole will move around a bit more but offer more grip. And if that makes sense I deserve a medal.
dave33
It seems every one is going on about grip but your all forgetting you need protection when you bail to avoid hurting yourself.
Matt Vandart
I agree with this, Ribbos are just dangerous

ClarkeHutchison
Would these be any good http://store.nike.com/gb/en_gb/?CP=EUNS_SH_Google&l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-300/pid-497964/pgid-654233
AndrewEH1
Five-tens all the way. Unlike other shoes their sole doesn't wear out after a month or two
Skoze
Nike 6.0 Maverick mids - me, sean stanley and luke ross are loving 'em right now. Edited July 29, 2012 by Skoze
eskimo
Would these be any good http://store.nike.co...964/pgid-654233 Nope. They aren't built for extreme sports. I hate using the word extreme. I've always favoured Emerica's. Never had a shit one. I recently picked up some Nike SB Prod5s. They are real slim, and appear to be lasting well. They use that Lunarthon shit, which is just that softer compound above and between the sole, hope that makes sense, and cushions landings quite nicely. They also offer more protection than Vans, so a good choice if you want a medium sized shoe. If you want some fat shoes go Etnies. Kingpins are a cheap, long lasting simple shoe. Been around since i can remember. [edit] f**k all trials shoes unless you ride natural. And ditch cage pedals if your street only, they don't benefit anyone. Sam Nichols
+1 for Nike 6.0 I'm using the mogan mid 2 se's at the moment 'cause I was after something to give me more ankle support, they're really comfy and my ankles loving them too. Real grippy too, but I haven't had them for very long so I can't say how long the soles will last.. That's the problem I always have with DCs, the sole rips to shreds
ogre
big vote for 5-10s although i find the wear life quite disappointing, i have split one in 5 months before
