Trials Forum tip of the day

Do not make a new thread every time you want advice on learning a new technique

This should have been posted in your older thread here: (Y)

As far as learning the frenchie (which isn't exactly easy to grasp) I would say to ensure that you have gap to fronts on lock as the motion involved is very similar. After that, start off doing frenchies on low objects such as 4 pallets, and work your way up as you improve (Y)

Hope this helped, sorry to be a troll

A tap ?

it isnt the tap im trying to learn, similar to it but when you acc hold the front brake in and bring the body into the handlebars more and then spring the bike to the front and land on the back wheel and keep it up :)

I wouldnt worry too much about the brake. As when you get this right you should be able to do it without. Try not to learn it relying too much on the brake, but rather learn it with a good technique

Try finding a wall about bar hight with enough room on top for your bike, and a bit of a run up.

Start with enough distance for a run up starting wrong foot forward. Pedal in with a small gap jump and land just infront of the wall with your weight back.

Then keeping your momentum throw your weight forward and land the front wheel on the top corner edge so your tyre can bite in. Keep your head forward and your arse back (youll find yourself moving your groin towards the stem, which will move your weight backwards)

This should bring the back wheel up, and when it feels right let go of the front brake and pull the back wheel through to the wall. It will take a few goes to get a feeling of when to switch, just keep trying. Too ealry and your back wheel will hit the front of the wall, too late and you wont have the momentum to swing through.

Have a few goes at getting the front wheel on the wall in the right place, and youll need to keep a good momentum as you ride into it.

Just keep trying.
