Andeee
Whenever i try to download on my mac for example a digi box zip code file for my father its a 40mb file that seems to take hours to download and by time it gets 20mb it just stops! and the only way that sort of help is by pausing n refreshing the download where it gets further in file size then it says " connection timed out" then it does not let me download it again..im connected via ethernet by the way... Also i am trying to update my iPad2 to IOS5 and i get the same fault of "connection timed out" I'd like to attempt to fix the fault myself but i really do not fancy messing my internet up.. So surely there must be a network fault? Help anyone???

So surely there must be a network fault? Help anyone??? 1. Have you rebooted the router? 2. Are you running on Wireless (have you tired wired straight into the router?) 3. Does it always stop at 20mb? 4. Have you deleted temporary internet files (in good 'ol Windows you can set a maximum capacity, this could be similar with Mac and is likely it could be full) 5. What anti virus product do you use? Have you tried temporarily disabling this? 6. Who is your internet provider - ever have any trouble with them? Try SpeedTest.net and post the results up here. 7. Check out the logging on the router to see if anything strange is going on. I'd treat iPad2 issue seperately until you've tried the above .
