yo everyone,

Me and my mate where talking about this the other day, I find questions that cant be answered the most interesting, So many things we don't know, Lets our imagination go wild. This lead to talking about space, How its created? Whats beyond space? Unknown planets with intelligent life? Whats the human race going to like at the peak of technologie? Its just annoying that these cannot be explained or proved! So what questions bug you that cant be answered?

A rhetorical question is one which is asked under the premise that an answer is not wanted, not that it's not possible. Like, 'Doesn't this thread suck?' would be asked by me more as a way to say 'this thread sucks' rather than caring what people actually thought.

I love these sort of questions. It's stupid trying to explain to someone if they're not in the zone to understand and think though. Especially stupid people.

The main one is space yeah, but also like, the Sea. We don't even know what's at the bottom of it, as in like what creatures and stuff.

That's more freaky in my eyes as it's on our planet.

Another one but it seems really stupid now, but it seemed really great at the time as we were all drunk to hell all chilled out on a field at 3am, but like if you see a tall building, what makes you go "wow that's a tall building!" but what if it's 2cm smaller, do you still think the same? Where does this intermediate stop. Pretty hard to explain.

I guess a lot of that comes down to where you're from. If you live in the countryside in Cambridgeshire, the first time you see a small block of flats you'll think 'wow that's a tall building!' but if you live in the middle of London and are surrounded by tall buildings it takes a much taller building to make you think the same.

How do you not know your friend sees red as blue, blue as yellow and yellow as red?

Does 0.999999...(recurring to infinity) = 1? Or something less than 1?

Kinda know where you coming from with that. I live in a place with 14 house's in it. Any where bigger than 100 is pretty fecking big for me...

This conversation just reminded me of a TV program that blew my mind about multiple infinities.

On the subject, my gut would say that - by definition - anything that isn't 1... well... isn't. So 0.999999r is not 1, no matter how close it gets. Of course, for arguments sake it's as good as.

It's like asking, does 0.888888...(recurring to infinity) = 1? It doesn't.

No, it isn't like asking that at all.
